#1 Post by relewis »

hi all
Would my Titan 39 (narrow) meet a turbosound TSE111 or would there be a hole?
cheers

In testing, I've crossed my T39 (16") at 200Hz and it sounded great. It might take a little fiddling with EQ and crossover points to get it to sound the way you want, but there shouldn't be any holes... and crossing over at 200 isn't ideal. But, if you have to, you have to.

The problem with crossing that high, with any sub, is that the sub is running in the directionally locatable frequencies. That totally messes up the sub placement options. I'd make do for now but get rid of the Turbosound ASAP.

Hi bill
Thank you for the swift response.
That was my thought too
However, if I put the tse111 on top of the titans, and paid attention to the distance between the cabs, all would be good? Or would there still be other issues I’ve not thought of?

If you put the TSE111 atop the T39s that not only makes it next to impossible to wall or corner load the T39s, it also introduces the possibility of boundary reflection sourced low frequency cancellations due to having the subs too far away from the rear walls.
