Driver Choices for 15 Inch TAT

#1 Post by cafedumonde » Fri Dec 07, 2018 7:42 pm

Hi, I am getting ready to build a TAT to go in my Chevy Express Van. The 15 inch width shown in Bill's sketchup will work perfectly. What are the tradeoffs between the DCS255-4 (10 inch), DCS 205-4 (8 inch). I'm not considering the others because of quality/cost considerations. The sketchup shows a 10 inch driver for that width.

A 10" driver moves more air so has a higher max output capability then the 8". Response is dictated by the cab and the vehicle you put it in. They'll both sound very good. The 10" will just make your ears hurt faster 😀.
