Question about the T30 plans, access panels.

#1 Post by Mike Hollingsworth » Thu May 11, 2017 11:13 pm

In the plans Bill mentions that it is easier to mount drivers when you make two access holes, one on each side. My question is why is the first access hole cut near the beginning of assembly and the other cut toward the end? Is there a reason both could not be cut at the same time?

If you built it perfectly, then it would make sense. However, some "drift" seems to accompany the build and therefore it would be best to mark out the second access when all the panels are installed to accommodate that "drift".

+1

No matter how meticulous you are in aligning panels, the expanding PL glue will push some panels out a little.
