Re: Radial arm for melded arrays

Using a radial arm for that scares the hell out of me. Much rather have a piezo locked into a jig moving across the blade than moving the blade through plastic while holding it..... I never changed blades when I cut mine. A good carbide tooth combination blade works fine on the Piezos..... I was th...

Radial arm for melded arrays

Has anyone tried to use their radial arm saw to cut tweeters for a straight or melded array? (with the right blade of course)

I was pondering a way to skip the whole "change the table saw blade" step all the time and figured a dedicated saw may work better.

Maybe he's counting the watts on his generators!

Re: Plywood - Tampa FL

If they do have something that will work it's $90 - $120 per sheet. They said prices are going way up because of civil war in countries where the wood is imported from, causing the price to go way up. OUch! I just scored a heck of a deal from a local lumberyard that had some 1/2" baltic birch ...

Welcome!

I hate to break it to you, but the tops are the real deal. I've used most brands in the industry and prefer Bill's tops to anything I've used short of $2k+ each.

Re: Tuba30 + SLA Pro

Looking good. My advice would be focus on the subs to get them done and rent a pair of tops for this gig. Don't rush through doing sub-par work to get ready for 1 gig. You will be much happier in the long run if you take your time and have polished product to show for it... Also the SLA's without tw...

Re: How about a design for a boombox?

Why not take an SLA (on it's side) with a built in compartment (think jack air head) for a car head unit (playing usb versus cd for extended battery life)? This would be similar to the form factor of a boombox with the power provided by a 20w car head unit. It's already running at 12v so no power co...

The better (and bigger) the generator you have the better results you will have, but except for extreme cases (ie: far distance or not enuf juice), land power is still the better option...

I'm a eureka fan. Right now the new EZ One is on sale for 895 to the first 100 buyers.

I have a DIY bench but still love it.
