Re: DR2xx scaling

There's a thread or two floating around from years ago about a 6" loaded "DR150". IIRC, they got built and tested for home theater duty. I don't recall the outcome. I'll see if I can use my google foo to find the thread for you a little later.

Hahaha, that's hilarious Bruce.

Now you can skip through the living room in your underwear while riding your stick horse all you like. You've got it made my man.

Congratulations!

Re: Maximum horn

Reading along with a big shit eating grin on my face, trying to contain the emotions welling up from within, like the final hero scene of a Disney film. When, as a man, you don't want anyone else in the room/theater to know your emotions have been stirred the least... and a little something escapes ...

Howie, I don't think I remember you saying what driver you ended up going with for the T24's. What drivers are in there?

Re: HowieZ's T24 build

"Titan's go louder & Tuba's go Lower" isn't a super accurate catchall phrase. T48's will beat the pant's off a T24 in extension any day of the week... especially since the recommended Highpass for a pair of T24's is 45Hz, where two two T48's is 40hz. As reported, it appears either cab ...

Re: T48 drivers

If pack/transport space allows, you could build 4 36" t48's and swap all of your existing drivers over and wouldn't need to purchase any additional drivers, amps, or cabling. And... four 36" cabs is less pack space than eight 20" cabs as well as half the number of cabs to place and st...

Yes, correct. But, it would be too close to hear the difference.

If 20" is your limit, it is what it is. Still a bad ass cab.

Re: T48 drivers

Welcome back!

Build these next four 36" wide if you can manage the size. If not, build as wide as you possible can. Two 36" cabs will outperform the four 20"ers you have now.

That's a phenomenally creative solution. F'n love it! Well done.

Re: HowieZ's T24 build

You could always pound the T-nuts out, glue dowel in the holes, and use wood screws like the plans recommend. Alternately, you can try spacing the driver up off the baffle with some bits of ply while starting the fasteners. You might be better able to get an angle that works to get all of them in. M...
