Re: Another budget driver option?
GRS has been on parts express since I discovered it 12ish years ago. They are as far as I know only one notch better a product than Pyle. I have owned a few of their cheap drivers with success but they are not as nice as Dayton equipment my experience. I bet that that 12” driver would hold up as wel...

Re: Dunavin’s OTop 8 build
I am enjoying the build. I think everything looks amazing. The tape idea was a smart thought.
Why would anyone want to exchange a stack of dr200s for some Omnis?
I’d like to build a set of four otop12 J-array/lights to be able to hang under my current stack of Omnis. Someday.

You want Bill to build the speaker cabinet for you too? You are way to sensitive for your own good.

Re: MCM 55-2421 8” driver VS everything
I reckon this is how I will deal with my cab handles and corner protectors.
I have a big wheel hand truck that I use which I am happy with. I had casters on one of my tubas but it only made it heavier and I find it easier to hand truck them around

Re: MCM 55-2421 8” driver VS everything
Kevin, you nailed it. I was not thinking about the cabinet corners when I laid out the handles. I fully intend to install corner pieces. I should have placed the handles 1.5” closer to center!!!
I am trying to sort out how to overcome this problem.

Re: MCM 55-2421 8” driver VS everything
If I want my cabs as durable as possible don’t I want to expend duratex on raw wood to get the strongest and deepest adhesion possible so that when it takes a nick or scratch it holds up better? I get that it costs more but for durability sake! Seth, that is correct my post with spl values was equal...

Bill. I see patience it not one of your virtues! Bill has been putting up with our crap for 20 some odd years. I have been on the forum for like 6 years and I see the same patterns with almost all the new comers. I did it myself. We are all for the most part free spirited do it yourself types, smar...

8ft from the wall on the left, 12ft from the tv wall. Listening position, man I racked my brain on that one, silly me.

Re: Building my home theater rig, Tlah, Table Tuba
I only took the one measurement and I took it from where I typically sit, front and center. What do you mean by LP? I am drawing a blank.

Re: Building my home theater rig, Tlah, Table Tuba
I got my REW program out for some other things but figured I would run a sweep on my system. 1/12 smoothing. I was playing with my laptop and ran this loop through my apple play into my tv then through my receiver. I ran an rca straight through the receiver and the only difference was that apple pla...
