Re: Laptop to Driverack PA2 setup help (levels)
I started with a behringer mixer. I only regret it. I had a lot of issues that I could not resolve that all stemmed from a low grade mixer. I currently have a Yamaha unit and I love it. I personally like having a slide on my faders as supposed to twist pots. But the smallest Yamaha mixer will surely...

Re: T48 for outdoor use
As far as I am concerned, the horn loaded designs being promoted and discussed on this forum are superior to all other subwoofer design options and configurations. The reality is that superiority is situationally subjective. The cost savings with the trade off requiring time, skills and resources. I...

Re: Sound engineering and combustion engines
A lot of this stems from my tinkering with the oem exhaust system on my sportster. I started out with it as used and abused 883cc. I installed a basic 1200cc conversion kit with a capable programmer. I started with tinkering on the exhaust system by gutting it and then using the various parts I remo...

Re: Simple setup for Church Stake Center
I have a hard time establishing a functional playlist, to the point I don’t want to do it. All the youth want the modern edgy and provocative music but the parents and leadership cringe at anything other than motab. Our local leadership is pretty much against dances, a real foot loose kind of place,...

Re: Sound engineering and combustion engines
By rotary do you mean turbo charging, that does dampen the noise doesn’t it. I am interested in a baffle design that can efficiently absorb/attenuate spl level without restricting the flow of the exhaust gases. See my attached, there is so much snake oil regarding this topic. My bike is the rough un...

Re: Simple setup for Church Stake Center
I will never recommend prefab, diy it baby, all the way. A set of SLA pro cabs and a titan 48 and your done set up a drive rack lock it just build a button pressing instruction guide on how to power on the amp rack. Having said that I had a pair of Peavey 215s for the first 2ish years I was gigging....

Re: Simple setup for Church Stake Center
Post modern Christians, tricking folks to get involved with the cult, think they were getting a hardy meal after being invited to the Stake Center only to find a multimillion dollar building with a $100 sound system. Then no budget for a proper DJ rig for all the youth dances and other various event...

Sound engineering and combustion engines
Where to begin, well I have been thinking. I have a hobby interest in hotroding, always have. I have always wanted the most I could get out of my equipment whether sound system or performance enhancements for my vehicle. Atv, dirt bikes, motorcycles cars truck you name it I want to build it to its p...

Re: Another budget driver option?
To me, for the cost, it would be a fine path to purchase and use those cheap GRS drivers if there is a respectable high end driver that can be swapped in in the event that the cheap driver proves sub par. Many people want to stair step into the business and if you can get into gigging on cheap drive...

Re: Another budget driver option?
https://www.behringer.com/product.html?modelCode=P0AVS I have one of these battery powered, Bluetooth speakers. It has been great, I have had to replace the battery a few times over the past years but it’s a common 12v battery and this thing has worked great otherwise. I have half a mind to build a...
