Re: Crown XLS Series
I only related the watts to figure out the amp requirements. It's cool! 8) I'm sorry I thought it was 55v which means the 2500 will probably be ok with 4 of them. Another score I'm trying to get. Score on, my brother, score on! I think the XLS 2500 would be just fine for 2 T39s, in parall...

Re: Crown XLS Series
Hey Bruce, How about the XLS 2500. 775w at 4ohms. Don't I need 760w at 4 ohms for two t39s? 55v at 4ohms. Just checking as I might be able to snag one. Maybe to close to run 4 t39s though. I also got the Driverack 260 now. Guy threw in a cheap laptop with the GUI on it. Thx Tony Tony, the Voltage l...

Shhhh! I hope the wifey doesn't read the forum, or over your shoulder!y2kindyz wrote:Needless to say the baffle broke.
You should be able to glue that baffle crack back together and clamp it. Worse case scenario is you have to un-mount the baffle.
I see some SLA in your future!

Re: How to prevent mold growing on horn path?
What about something like this , says 25 year lifespan in enclosed areas. Actually, CO, this is much more effective at killing mold and preventing it from releasing its' spores (the dangerous parts). Ask me how I know!  Humidity levels often reach 90% in the spring and summer, for day...

Re: How to prevent mold growing on horn path?
If you are getting mold growth on the inside of your speakers, in Connecticut, you are somehow getting the interiors soaking wet. When I lived in FL (the most tropically humid place in CONUS), there was mold growing pretty much everywhere, except inside my speakers. They were all constructed from Ba...

And yet, no one picked up on this: honestly can't wait until I start the next build ! (probably 2x t24 now )<snip> it took such a long time because along the way we found out that the lab12 drivers weren't cutting it and switched to 18Sound 12NLW9300<snip> jmanso, for less money that you spent on th...

Re: Under Garage Home Theater Build
I think no drapes, just framed walls and ceiling covered in sheet rock. I'll probably do blown in cellulose insulation but I've had some people recommend spray foam insulation. I've seen some home theaters in basements lately where the steps in the floor were actually poured into the concrete. I'm ...

Re: One amp or two?
Thanks DJP, So I can run each pair on one channel in parallel ? I currently have voltage limited to 35 volts set with a 800 hz. Should leave it there or raise it? Thanks IIRC, the XTi 02 series have independently adjustable channels in the on-board DSP. Plug in with a Windows laptop, running "...

Re: One amp or two?
Oscar, it should run them plenty loud enough. Just make sure you limit everything to the RMS, not the Peak or music, power rating on the cabs. Clustering and boundary loading subs applies to all subs, not just horn-loaded. You won't get any "boost" like you would with horns, but you won't ...

Re: SLA pro wedding
I'm glad you are happy with how the gig turned out. I have to ask: in the 2nd picture, where we can see the SLA, is that you standing underneath and to the right? I ask not to ID you, but to get a feeling as to why your SLA is so high up in the air, only to be pointed at the floor 15-20' in f...
