Re: The son's race car experience

Reminds me of my old "67 baja" bug. I transplanted a Ford 2.3 turbo motor from an 88 Thunderbird Turbocoupe into that VW after I blew a hole the size of my fist out of the VW engine case. With the 2.3 Ford engine and the boost up over 20 psig, it put down around 225-250 horses and over 300...

Re: T60 the destoyer of balloons!

Okay, so I've read this thread with amazement several times now, but I gotta say... it's hard to believe sound waves are popping balloons.

Show us a video!

I sincerely hope you are popping balloons with BFM cabs just so I can tell people about it. Good luck in your next show!

Re: Four T-24 Four DR-200 build thread

When I was a kid, my dad and his friend (and me to a lesser degree) built a "Woodhopper" ultralight. They bought the plans from Popular Mechanics or some similar magazine. It was based on a "Weedhopper" ultralight (made of aluminum and fabric). The Woodhopper was made of wood fib...

Re: Question on routers and bits....

Just and fyi: Lowes has their Hitachi 2.25 hp router clearanced for $39.99. It comes with 1/2" and 1/4" collets. This is in a Las Vegas store, but they are probably clearancing them all over the US for new models. Lowes website doesn't even show a Hitachi router, so maybe they are not goin...

Re: Brad Nailers

I have a Dewalt 18v XRP cordless nail gun and I love it!!! Very nice for repairing wooden drawers, doors, installing trim and molding, etc. BUT, I haven't used it on a speaker build (yet). It is quite a bit more ca$hola than a pneumatic, but you can't beat it if you are working out of a truck all da...
