Re: Time-align, TubaHT to LaScala
Time align with subs is seldom required, the wavelengths are too long for it to matter. If you have the ability to delay the mains by 10ms or so by all means try it, but it probably won't be audible. Besides, doing so could cause a sync issue with the images on the TV screen. Are you off by a facto...

Re: Time-align, TubaHT to LaScala
You won't hear any difference by trying to time-align the 1-2ms that you'd implement. I wouldn't bother.

Re: hello :)
Yes sorry dispersion 😅. Haha ...🤣 So..In a line source when multiple boxes are stuck over each other high frequency's need to be spread horizontal not vertical due they might interfere with each other. I'm right? The horn on the cabinet determines the horizontal dispersion. It's not an interference...

Re: hello :)
Thank you Bruce. Piezos or compression driver for the best vertical depression? I believe you mean vertical dispersion? Wow, I read right past that...guess my brain just filled in the word I was expecting to see. But, too much vertical dispersion can create some musical depression if you can't get ...

Re: hello :)
Thank you Bruce. Piezos or compression driver for the best vertical depression? I don't think it makes any difference on the vertical. The melded array has a wider horizontal dispersion than the compression driver, but not by a lot. I have both. I put the melded on the bottom for the wider dispersi...

Re: hello :)
I would like to ask you please just to clear some thoughts.. the omni top 12(not the J array version) is square so cant be stack like the J array...but if I add a spacer at the front 1-2inch to get the same effect as a tapered box, Really not necessary. If you are just stacking 2 or 3 per side, the...

Re: Dr2xx HF alternatives (Europe ship.)
[ Is this solely because the cab isnt square ? ie. can the internals of the cab accomodate a normal static top hat ? You can put a normal one in there, but the speaker would be pointing up instead of at the crowd. The adjustable tophat lets you get the proper angle to the audience. I don't see any ...

Re: Hello from North Yorkshire UK
Worked in IT-related fields. Now retired & have time to pursue my main hobbies: playing bass & woodwork. Have been reading this site on & off for years - always looking to learn. Finally got round to buying Simplexx 12 plans. Aim to make one (more likely two) 1x12 ported cabs to replace...

Re: Jack 15 Lite Build
Thank you, Seth and Bruce. More power over new driver wins. I have one of those amps, it can handle the crossover for you too. However, I doubt seriously that you'll be able to fit it in there at all. If I remember my Jack 15 build, there's no way it will go between the driver and the back cover. C...

Re: Jack 15 Lite Build
I will do that on the next one, Bill. Thank you. Tested this cab out without the tweeters just for fun. Been exploring more amplifier options for more output. Currently has the Kappalite 3015 wired to a 2x50wrms (rated at 4 ohms) amp board for first demo. Likely getting around 20 watts. A 4 ohm woo...

Re: XF 210 Depth
I am building the XF 210 and need to add 3/4" to the depth to line up with the depth of the matching head unit my son and I built, which will sit on top. I assume the added depth will have no negative sonic consequences but hope to get some confirmation. We are installing a pair of Eminence Ra...

Dayton Audio PPA800DSP on sale
