Only 7.1 ? I thought everything was bigger in Texas, double that sub number... ;)

Should be a really fantastic system, that.

Re: Hi from Florida!

If you're going Tuba 60 then you might as well use the Lab15 and do the cabs 27" wide for the most bang for your buck. The Delta 12LFs have about 1/3 the xmax of a Lab driver so aren't capable of pushing enough air so they're not suitable at all for this use.

Re: Hi from Florida!

We already had amps, equalizer, and crossover built into the budget (the budget I gave is only what we were allotting for actual speakers/speaker components). However, I've been researching limiters now that you've mentioned it. I know my DJ software has a built in limiter, but I worry about other ...

Oh man I'm really sorry to hear this, I was friends with Ken on facebook too and every now and again we'd have a little chat about stuff. He was a good dude and like mentioned previously, knew his stuff and would certainly more than helpful with people on here...

Re: rock climbing event

Ugh, I wish my climbing gym had a BFM soundsystem in there! I've contemplated letting them use mine semi-permanently but I need it in my workshop for loud music.

Re: Target Curve or EQ Contour

The fun thing about sound is it's subjective so what sounds good to us may not sound good to you, also that different people's hearing is ruined in different ways through listening to stuff too loud for prolonged periods... I set my kit up in a joint, RTAd it flat and tweaked a few things and a frie...

Re: "Immersive audio"

This popped up a while back when Dolby Atmos became a thing. I imagine it's a cool gimmick but obviously better with pre-recorded stuff where you can move sound around easier. https://ukf.com/words/dolby-atmos-the-revolution-of-the-sound-system/15029 https://youtu.be/lMR5iWG1UI4 2manydjs run a sound...

Considering how many drivers those things use I'd not look forward to moving them about. A top as big as the subs? Amazing.

Re: Hello, from not so sunny London, UK

That is interesting! had kind of passed over the T45 as I thought it had a a similar response to the T30. That graph shows quite a different response, louder and smoother. I like it. Just built a cardboard mock up and size looks acceptable too. Is that graph a measured response or simulated? You sa...

Re: Hello, from not so sunny London, UK

If you're concerned about low frequencies and want them played loud then get to building some Lab12 T60s as wide as you can manage in as large a number as possible. I have 2 at 18" wide and they were enough for loud (116db at the back wall) low bass in a 250 person capacity joint playing all so...

The thing to do would be to build a THT and watch movies in the dark. The speakers you're describing (or at least trying to I think) are Sonotube subwoofers?

Yup, this is why I love my setup. Really loud but super high quality with it.
