Re: High priced Hifi cabling

Also: due to the length of the last section of throat, the mouth appears to be more than 24" from the walls / corner. Sure, it LOOKS cool this way, but turn that farger around to wall load it.

.. but would suck to customize the sub into the back area.. just to have it not perform to its full potential.. Yes it would! Can you show us the other end of that room please mate I can't put it behind the wall on the other side ( where the couch will be ) as it's the concrete foundation the wall ...

Wow, this post left me speechless. Grant has been such a staple on the forum, a real pillar. Though I never knew him personally, this news left me teary eyed. This group is so supportive, both by sharing knowledge as well as being encouraging to each other in our diverse pursuits. Rock on, brother, ...

Re: HowieZ's T24 build

PRETTY sure Bill has said that the gap will be of negligible importance, but if it bothers you, just move the feet of one both outboard a bit, or move all four frontmost ones back a wee bit for clearance.

They look beautiful!

Re: THT (or THTLP) in ceiling?

It won't be easy, but you could use two tall, equal sized step ladders to support your current sub up near the ceiling so that the mouth is close to where you want the hole to be. Try different locations, listening at your listening positions to see how it sounds there. A spider-walk version of the ...

Move it to cover the mouth: either face down on the floor or flush to the wall. Or remove it completely.

Re: 4 DR280 and 2 titan48 for a record store/venue!!!

I'm totally cringing about the flying of the cabs. It is not the way to do it. I'm glad I wasn't the first or only one to think so. At those chain angles, each chain is supporting nearly the full weight of the cabs, not 1/4. Was this install designed by an engineer? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Am...

Re: What's to chat about?

If the quarter turn is off and it either starts or ends hitting the shield wall, you could always unbolt the cabinet receiver speakon and rotate until it does align.

Silly question, but what about using right angle powercons? Do they protrude less? https://www.parts-express.com/Neutrik-NL4FRX-Speakon-SPX-Right-Angle-Cable-Connector-4P-092-192?quantity=1&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=18473122202&utm_content=147095683412&gadid=6...

Re: Gluing cones

Any tips or tricks to gluing a separated cone back to the surround? And what kind of glue? It's a BP102 that I haven't used in at least a year (approximately 15yr old) but has been in stored in a climate controlled basement. Never done this before, so I wanna be prepared and do it right. All of the...

Re: Problem with no output on Crown XTI 2002 power amp

On the front panel of BM, are both input and outputs "unmuted"? It seems a little difficult to distinguish. does the amp pass audio when set to "dsp off" on the front? So, are you saying that BandManager 2 doesn't give the same degree of control as the front panel? Do I have to ...
