Re: BehringerMods (AudioSmile) DCX output upgrade report

You haven't even begun to hear sound quality until you've heard my $4995 cryogenic speaker cables! I've owned 2 DCX2496's for about 11 years now and they are as clean as any other device out there. A bit of a noise floor until you ground the chassis to everything else and then invisible. Whatever y...

Re: Excessive ads on the mobile site (this post contains large images)

It's not an app, it's what shows up in the mobile browser. Adblock isn't available on mobile browsers unless you use their specific browser app (which isn't very good). Ads themselves don't bother me, but high-bandwidth ads that target mobile users who pay for bandwidth (i.e. not unlimited) is simpl...

Excessive ads on the mobile site (this post contains large images)

This is a new "feature" as of today. There are excessive ads appearing on all pages of the mobile version of the forum. I don't mind a banner ad or two, that's not a big deal. I'll sometimes even click through if it's relevant. I am assuming this is a glitch, because the ads are appearing ...

Re: New iphone

I just ran a show on a W98 machine. XairEdit is only 12 megabytes. https://scontent-iad3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t31.0-8/27624564_148261939312186_8254965245411117229_o.jpg?oh=4f6377597473c4f12a0e259deadb40f5&oe=5B1AFB6C That is clearly Windows XP. :owned: The biggest problem with using old software is...

Re: Sub management and limiter

Mini DSP does offer balanced I/o products.

The balanced connections are on Phoenix connectors, but they have xlr dongles as an option.

Re: Favorite vocal mic?

s. SM57s aren't really suited for vocal use as they don't have a pop filter, unless you have the foam windsocks installed. 57s without the foams still work pretty well for vocalists with good technique. Had a good instance of that last week actually... had a wireless go out and the girl grabbed one ...

Re: Favorite vocal mic?

I like strawberry ice cream. With real strawberries. Sugar free if possible. Which it never is. Seriously though, it depends on the person. As a production company, I keep plenty of sennheiser 835s, sm-57s, and SM58s. I have a smattering of other options, which nearly never get used. If I can’t get ...

Re: Wireless Microphones...Mic Input or Line?

And don't even get me started on wireless guitar systems.....actually, I should say - guitar/bass players who insist on using wireless guitar systems and don't maintain them or put new batteries in them. Then I'm trying to chase down the problem in the middle of the third song. For the life of me, ...

Re: Wireless Microphones...Mic Input or Line?

They have a place, just not in the stuff I do. And you will never cross an individual mic cable on my stage. I use stage snakes and have many different lengths of mic cables to keep from having a mess. I'm a bit anal about doing things right. Not always easy with a ton of acts coming through....tha...
