This is not a job for PL premium? Seems like that would be stronger, except for the squeezeout which would have to be carefully removed somehow.Bill Fitzmaurice wrote:Glue it with yellow glue. The hard part is refinishing it to make the break invisible, but that can be done as well.

Re: Yung plate amps?
25hz is too low for the TT to have a 6db boost. You'd risk damaging the drivers easier. I'd go with the unboosted version.
What drivers are you using for the TT? 500 watts is too much for a single driver build most likely, dual premium 8's or 10's would be fine.

Re: Yung plate amps?
I'm just saying they don't mention having a subsonic filter anywhere. If response dips below 20hz that's fine with me as it protects my speakers.
Wonder if there are any actual charts of the non-boosted models

That's a different filter, I was talking about a subsonic filter.sine143 wrote: The boost models moste definitely have a filter. the boost is the product of a hi q filter.

Re: Yung plate amps?
They work great. I got the one with +6db @ 35 hz to compensate for the falling response of the horn and because I like a nice fat bottom. Its personal preference really. +6db is no small gain though so make sure you really want it before going that direction. They have no official subsonic filters, ...

Re: T39 In a 4Runner
Because you have a high pass on it. If you remove the high pass for T39 you'd get better results. I'd probably only do that with car drivers installed though as they're better suited physically to the low freq's than say the 3012lf.MissileCrisis wrote:The t39 doesn't seem to go below 35 much in car

Re: T39 In a 4Runner
T39 is the mega-autotuba. I've also tried it before with stunning results.
If you have the room it's the best sub for for car use because the cabin gain gets you extra extension and output so it plays everything an AT will play, only louder.

If nothing else take a picture of it, showing all the knobs and switches, and post it here.

Re: Autotuba hook up
We'll need to know more information about the settings available. Is it one switch that you can change between LPF/OFF/HPF? If so you'd want to set it to LPF If there's a knob to select the crossover frequency you can set it anywhere from 50-100 hz. If your deck can do LPF just use that, then set th...

Re: Amp - Brown Out Protection
Has anyone tested the output of those APC style battery backup units? I'm wondering how clean the waveform is. They say "simulated" sine wave but does that mean simply square wave or something a bit more accurate?

Re: Peavey CS800x What can it Drive ?
Lab12, 3010LF, 3012LF are limited to 50v so those would also be great options with that amp. Cabs for said drivers: T39/T45/T48/T60.

Re: Peavey CS800x What can it Drive ?
So, I can get 45v from each channel. What sub combination would that equal to ? Tuba24, T39's ? You can use any sub, just don't combine different models. The pro sub designs that most builders seem to go for are T39 or T60. T24 should only be utilized if you really need the small form factor. One e...

Re: I wish I had the opertunity to silence the critics!
A few years ago I had one through my fingers at 230v cause I touched the live and neutral on the back of the plug with 2 fingers. (Yes I was curious to know what a mains shock was like on non critical parts!) 15 seconds though, that's gotta be rough! I'm not sure a 110-120 volt shock would be that ...

Re: Amp - Brown Out Protection
It's a good concept in case someone trips over the power cord, etc. He obviously doesn't know how Behringer claims their power ratings though. In that video he might be using a few hundred watts. That battery backup wouldn't know what to do with a 15,000 watt load. As far as Class D amps being more/...
