Re: I want some big cans

I have to back the Grados 80i. I have had Senny 497 for years which were awesome but a bit bass weak. Went to Ultrasone 480s, didn't care for them much. Detailed but just not quite great sounding sold them and went to the Grados, open sounding detailed, I can use my phone to power them too. Everythi...

Re: Mooore Utube Trainwrecks

Based on the intro where he uses the term Oddiophiles and rolls his eyes - I do believe that he is pulling your leg. He just takes too long to do it. Could be an Andy Kaufman thing since he has a bunch of videos. I think it may just be a case of his theories and people assuming the expert is right ...

Mooore Utube Trainwrecks

I will warn you if you watch these videos through your head may explode and you may get so angry that you start think he speaks the truth or gave you some useful information.

He may need a proper mic setup

Re: Slim Tuba HT Trials

Personally I don't like the super tight access cover. I have done a couple and find opening them for service/maintenance a major PITA as the gasket/weatherseal kinda glues them down over time. By the time I pried them open the wood around the access was looking shabby. But I build in pine also sooo?...

Re: SLA ht build

I used some semi sticky stuff....like rope caulk. It was the stuff PE sells for speaker gasketing. I wouls suppose tape un adhesived a bit (stick it to your shirt a couple times first) or one of those stretchy slap hand toys would work too.

They tell me in your neck of the woods that Australia is printed at the top of maps. Can't speak for our ANZAC compatriates but yes, this is our map we use in New Zealand and naturally North is at the bottom ( why would we swap that otherwise aeroplanes would get lost ) http://img402.imageshack.us/...

Home events? Movie events for groups? I can imagine in this group you may get a suggestion or two for awesome sound.

Split Sub Crawl

Does this work? Can I put subs in multiple listening locations and crawl or will this just cause cancellation issues, weird modes, etc?

Unless you hit the 4 pack stack then they drop to 35, then it is a 2hz difference. Starting to split hairs and write your name in the snow.

Same amp I am using, 67 volts is no joke. Are you bridging the outputs or just using one side? Either way that thing should be scary loud if you are clipping.

Re: Underground sub DIY

grab win isd. design a sixth order BP box around you driver of choice. Six inch pvc should line up to the 5.5 port sizing. Hell, theres even a forum member here that has some MCM 12s available (modelled kind of nicely in ported configuration). you could probably throw those in a huge Duratexed box ...

Re: Underground sub DIY

PM to BR will be sent shortly as I don't want to get into box design in open forums. I am being contracted in by my wife's cousin the landscaper artist, no hole digging for me or brick laying (read on). I mainly get the finish work. What I am looking for here is what is going to take make these: wat...
