Re: Personal electronic music history
We hated disco with a passion in the 70s......It's kind'a nostalgic now. But, ya' gotta admit - music from the 60s and 70s has stood the test of time...and here 50 years later it's being heard all over the place. EDM... And just to blur the lines, electronic progenitor / early adopter Giorgio Morod...

I take turmeric every day and have for quite a while. Not to turn this into an "old guy home remedy" thread, but I keep reading more and more good things about the amino acid N-Acetyl Cysteine and its anti-inflammatory / anti-oxidant properties. I also haven't been able to find much, if a...

Without asking for specific dates (estimates are just fine), Bill, what would you name as significant new developments in enclosures over the years, and when?Bill Fitzmaurice wrote: ↑Fri Jun 09, 2023 11:39 am There have been no true innovations in enclosure technology since the 1960s.

Re: Titan 48 for 12v build// No Labs in the UK
The system will be playing electronic music with alot of low frequency content. sometimes lower then 40 hz so Fs and frequency range of the LAB appealed.... How much would that really low content be compromised if i went for one of those ? any thoughts? As long as the driver you choose comes within...

Re: Titanous Tuba... Tuba-ous Titan
Shall we call this thing the T-Mega? Feel free to use the name, Bill. XD It would take... nine 28" wide single LAB15 loaded T60's... to match the output potential of four 36" single 3015LF loaded T48's v-plated at 40Hz. So to answer your original question, Seth: Valuing the V-plate as a 4....

How do the Davids fit into these considerations?
Also, was hoping to produce the brown note.

Line array horns and THT+
Are line arrays and horns unconducive to each other *in the same cabinet*? Could something like the TLAH have the front of the enclosure extended (in a straight line, forward) to improve the bass response? The ungainliness of the size and shape would likely make this not favorable for frequent trans...

I thought 1/2" , 7-11 ply, B/BB Baltic birch WAS cabinet grade? (As opposed to construction grade.)Bruce Weldy wrote: ↑Tue May 30, 2023 7:18 am Just don't let him convince you to use cabinet grade plywood. Stick to the plans on wood selection.

Good grief, even clicking specs tells us nothing more than what you put up earlier. Re: Tuba 36 3015LF alternative
Where in the signal chain do you have that Soundweb Blu? Shouldn't a properly arranged limiter prevent going over voltage limits, regardless of amp sensitivity settings?
Also, depending on how hard you've run them, isn't 15+ years of use pretty good, even for pro gear?

Re: Plans for Acoustic 361?
There are a million folded horn designs that use two, shorter lengths instead of one longer one. Were people just not that into bass extension before?
