Lab 15 on sale

Special Ebay run of ~ 100 units, grab them while they are hot, here is a link to the seller. They are definitely affiliated with Eminence (ships from eminence kentucky) and is likely due to a cancelled order for an OEM. Note that this is the 4 ohm driver version so plan amplifier power accordingly. ...

Re: Two THTLP's

My T60 gives me the same grins playing 25 Hz sine waves, I never take it into the limiter or else it would be nauseating (sine waves, music I do it on occasion). Measured flat to 24 Hz in room :).

Re: First proper outing for the rig :)

Uk dubstep has just as much energy, bif not more imo (plus an ample portion of "vibes" :p) The difference is you need 2-3x as many subwoofers to reveal it when compared to brostep. Your talking to someone who thinks 6 t48s is "adequate" for 200 person room and some proper basswe...

Re: First proper outing for the rig :)

I'm running 2 KW181 a friend has that are serving as stands (half of a divided room) and my T60 as a place for girls to dance on as it vibrates their entire leg :) this friday and I totally know what you mean by "Adequate" It's not about how much you need, it's about how much more fun and ...

Re: My Titan-39 build

Half the time I spent building my T60 was setting up or inserting screws in the panels. I didn't count but I know it was over 120, and each were countersunk/predrilled. Next build I'll probably get a brad nailer, especially if I'm doing it solo, I am a firm believer in never build alone if given the...

Re: Give me some FLAC

Which PMP did you buy (portable media player) I have had a cowon s9 for 5 years and it never fails me. Great internal DAC and custom EQ. Oh and native FLAC/drag+drop support. Only unfortunate thing is no 24 bit playback, but the DAC isn't good enough to reveal that detail anyways so it would just ha...

All my best builds happened whilst working full time. It's when I have this thing called free-time that I get lazy :).

THT: I'm loving it! I re-wired it parallel instead of series and it pounds with MUCH more authority.
I would be worried here, wiring a 4 ohm dvc into 2 ohms can kill some amps. tread carefully.

Re: 16" THT: testing new Dayton mobile phone mic

You need to set the "reference point" for the mic. It doesn't measure absolute spl's like an SPL meter does. If you're using REW (room equalizer wizard) then you can do the following: --click spl meter (button/icon), click calibrate -- follow instructions that they give you (Something alon...

Re: Phase response correction

Obviously this would be room dependent but what phase/delay settings worked best for your T39/60 endeavors?

Re: Phase response correction

My response to this is well I use the time alignment in my reciever and my distortion is easily 10 times lower than yours at full tilt - so mine is more accurate! (talking about T60 vs sealed) I've recently listened to my ported 15 subwoofer (not bad but different ballpark) and I was quickly reminde...

Re: Phase response correction

Awesome, good to know. I have never heard a sealed subwoofer before but I've always been told they sound better subjectively due to the time alignment - this is what I would like to achieve. Unfortunately the DSP teachers here at my school are notoriously the worst professors in the department, howe...

Phase response correction

Hey I was wondering if anyone has written a "Phase response RTA" piece of software. I was just thinking -> most people that "don't like how a horn sounds" are either talking about delay or phase. What if you could use a microphone to measure the phase and time delay responses and...

I've done dado's for braces, quite useful. Routing the entire side panel? good luck :).
