Re: HowieZ DR200 build
Yep, those Menards BB squares are awesome. I still have a few left after buying out my local store when they let them go at $1.99 a piece. I see they have them back in stock again, but the price has definitely gone up a bit.

Re: end-fire sub config with T39's
Interesting experiment, thanks for sharing. Did you use a meter to measure the sound levels of each configuration and at various frequencies? And what happened in front? Similar output? More? Less? I'm curious as to what situations you'd use this configuration in.

Re: A “build once, cry once” bass rig for Low F# tuning
BTW......how big is an F# string? Size of a telephone pole? Ever look "under the hood" of an Imperial Bosendorfer? Love those extra low notes, all the way down to 20hz. Although I'm sure the rainbow of harmonics coming off those massively thick and long strings has more to do with the sou...

Re: Update on Eminence
A big plus for this forum!
I'm in a completely different industry, different state and also having a tough time finding and hiring new employees, as are many companies. Hats off to Eminence for pulling together as a team to get done what they can for their customers.

Re: Hello From Tampa !
Also, if pressed, you will find MOST of the detractors haven't actually built OR heard a BFM system in person, but they've "heard" about them online blah blah blah. Hearing is believing. My T30s are big boxes when compared with some of the common direct radiator subs in use. But once peop...
Re: Big amps
Hmmm, at first couldn't imagine why you'd need to tax an amp that size... then saw 18x Tuba 60 - Dual 12" LAB Oh yeah!!! Crank up the volts! I'd love you hear your system some day

Re: otop with only dsp?
Also, the power it takes to drive the highs is so miniscule compared to the mids, it seems like a waste of an amp channel for no real benefit.

When I first decided to go with the OT12s, I was going to bi-amp them too......I'm glad that I didn't - life is much easier.

Looks awesome, Preston. I can only imagine how good it must sound. What are the Otops stacked up on?

Some more repurposing
Put together some big hand knobs to attach my v-plate to the tubas instead of just using machine screws and having to find a screw driver. Used some feet from a discarded office chair, 3.5” 1/4-20 machine screws, t-nuts, and some jb weld. Turned out pretty cool imho

Interesting look to your T24s. I like it. Any reason for that shape of the grill frames?

Re: Voice of the theatre
OMG, just looked these up on ebay! Unreal what some people will pay for stuff. I remember my sister having some Altec Lansing home speakers that were beautiful with slate tops. These A7 things look like they were made by someone in their garage out of bad plywood. Yikes. Sell them and you can build ...

Here’s the sub sled. Marked the distance to add for proper placement next to a wall so I don’t have to guess or have to try to move once the subs are plopped on it.

Re: trailer tetris
Four t30’s on the left side, laying on their sides doubled up on roller dollies. V-plate is sitting at the very back. Amp rack is toward the front on the right with the otop wagon at the rear. Just barely enough room to get it in due to the door being a bit narrower than the overall trailer width. I...

trailer tetris
Spent a little time today figuring out how to transport my stuff around more efficiently. I have a little 5x6 enclosed trailer and was able to get everything in. 4 t30s, 4 otops, a 14-space shock mount amp rack, mixer case, speaker stands, 10x10 canopy, and a couple cord cases. I have wheels on my T...
