Re: Tuba 30 CNC build

I am curious how the braces turn out. For both my builds, they seem to take the most time & adjusting to fit without bowing or pulling things out of square. Same here. For my T24 builds where I used CNC, I oversized all braces by a small amount (1 or 2mm, can't remember exactly) preferring to s...

Re: Champion Sound for Columbus Ohio

That logic had me taking a harder look at the Tubas. I did some test with Audacity and made the decision - it may have been the wrong one but that ship has sailed. If you're fussy with your low end / bass notes (like me) then you made the right choice. The Titans do seems to have a flatter response...

Re: Tuba 30 CNC build

Looking good! I'm super keen to see how they turn out. I employed the services of a buddy and his CNC for the two T24's I'm currently helping a couple of friends build, and it's been a pleasure assembling the cabs, each panel is dead accurate. Didn't go to the detail of dado-ing the panel layout, th...

Re: Tuba 30 CNC build

One set on panel 10 and another on 7 has been suggested. For the set on 7 do any of you use the Neutrik NL4MPR Speakon Connector 4 Pole Round Chassis Mount https://www.parts-express.com/neutrik-nl4mpr-speakon-connector-4-pole-round-chassis-mount--092-054 ? or do you prefer a plate and separate pane...

Re: Tuba 30 CNC build

A thought as I am finishing up my T30's, would the hand holds on panel 12 at the front of the mouth reduce output when on their side v-plated? Air will definitely get through them. Not sure how much output would be lost but we usually try and get things airtight when v plating. I wouldn't put handl...

miniDSP… I like it! I have a pioneer 5.1 120W rms amp sitting around, so this solves the problem! Thanks for the idea. I’ll source from their site, or from US.

Recommend me a home theatre amp

Haven't been on the forums much lately. Life has been busy, but good. I’m looking at redoing the lounge room at home and using a pair of floor standers that I refurbished a few years back, but since building OT12’s, they have gathered dust. They are full range 3 ways which sound good once EQ’d. They...

Re: Can i use this amp with a T-30?

It will take 2 x 16" wide cabs loaded with BP102's to be as loud as 1 x 16" wide cab loaded with a 3012lf, at maximum volume... Buy once cry once. If you ever think your DJing may get beyond the limits of a couple of BP loaded cabs, buy the 3012lf from the outset. +1 Speaking from experie...

Re: New member/first BFhorn/Tuba45

Coming together nicely  I'm interested to know your finished weight figure at the end of the build. I used marine ply in my T30's and combined with the 3012LF they came in at 36kg each.

That track is pretty good. In case you still need it, I'll tell you the track name.
Artist - Kostas Maskalides
Title - Sodom (Lowkey & Kardinal Remix)
Actually the track is:

Diogo Ribeiro - Tropico

But I like the track you mentioned as well, so thanks ;)

+1, what fasteners are you using, brads or screws? In the case of either, once a panel is fastened into place, there is no need to wait for the cure. You can keep on building.

Re: Outdoor test - 6 T30's and 2 OT12's

Do you have any idea what kind of SPLs you were producing? I used "audio tool" without the imm-6 mic to measure 106dB from the mixing position which was approx 30m out from the sub stack. How accurate that is, your guess is as good as mine. It was by no means an accurate measure of SPL bu...
