Re: T45 stack
A little blow out isn't a big deal if its on the back side of the panel/ not touching the driver gasket. A little wood filler or bondo should fill the gap nicely, otherwise. If you're making multiple cabs at once, sand the first baffle as nice as you like and then use it as your router template for ...

Re: MCM 55-2421 8” driver VS everything
Hey ACUA, Wanna say I fully support your experiment here! Good Luck! There was mention of building reducer plates to test an MCM in a cab your already have. I did just that for my TTLS, I got lucky and found a deal on a NOS Eminence HL10c, so of course I'm gonna use it! But still wanted to test a sp...

Re: O-Top 12 build issue, I just can't get it.
I'll give it a shot. I just cut some out the other day. Talking about page 8 in the Otop 12 plans, right? Without knowing exactly what's triping you up, I'll just walk you through how I usually do it. I started with a blank around 4-1/2" by 12-1/2. (Slightly bigger than final dimensions) Cut th...

Close.
You want to use the +/- pair of #1 or #2 on the speakon jacks.
Usually the default is 1+/1-

Yeah, the driver i used were a buyout special back in the day.
The H20s do look pretty cool, but I though the Alpha 6 drivers were great too!

Hi Grey!
A while back I put together something similar to what your describing and it was a lot of fun.

Re: Adjustable top hat
Good news is that part of the horn isn't part of the driver chamber, so a good seal isn't critical there. But be aware of the center of gravity on your cab. The delta pros in my Otop 8s make them very back heavy. Actually, an adjustment tophat with a downward tilt might be a good thing.... hmmmm..

Re: AC foam on backs of grills
I ended up getting a can of the Gurilla Glue spray adhesive last time as it was the only stuff I could fine in stock. Turns out, I think I like it for attaching grills. It doesn't really spider web like the other stuff. I spray a heavy coat on the back of the grill and then light coat on the foam. G...

Re: Portable 2.1 setup
Your title reminded me of an older thread from good while back. https://billfitzmaurice.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=20363&hilit=Sla+t39+boombox Fun idea, but I don't think much ever became of it. Your Truck Tuba idea sounds more reasonable from a weight and mobility standpoint. I think my...

Re: Bracing101 2021
Wait, your building our of 3/4" ply? Most of Bills plans call for 1/2" or less. With the thicker wood, you can get away with less bracing, but your end up carrying around a lot more unnecessary weight. There is merit to your last statement, bill uses a similar method on the back pieces of ...

Re: What's to chat about?
Speaking of the change in Titan design... I came into some pre cut T48 panels for the older Top loaded design. Its just the baffle, top, back, and bottom pieces. Basically all the pieces that need specific cutouts for handles, driver acess, and such. (So the hard part is done i guess) Not sure how lo...

Re: Simplexx 18" question
Hi Singtall, welcome to the forum. The S18 is similar in the fact that its a bass reflex 18" with 4 corner ports. Beyond that, I Haven't studied the specs well enough to say more.. The S18 is a great cab, but depending on your use case, the horns can preform even better. That's why we all want ...
