Hi Ismael!
If you don't already have a source for Baltic Birch in Austin, I suggest Fine lumber:

They've supplied me for all my builds. Good stuff!

Re: SLA pro wedding
I have to ask: in the 2nd picture, where we can see the SLA, is that you standing underneath and to the right? I ask not to ID you, but to get a feeling as to why your SLA is so high up in the air, only to be pointed at the floor 15-20' in front of it? I would lower the stand, so you are looking st...

SLA pro wedding
Wedding at the wildflower center in Austin, Texas last weekend. Inside setup: One SLA pro (Dayton drivers), one T39-20" with 3012. Outside (through open door) the other SLA. In summary...it was more than enough. For the dance at the end there was plenty of volume. The indoor space was very reve...

Hunh. I wonder how the speakers are being blown? Someone cranking up the volume when no one is looking?Badblood wrote:Stuff like that, doesn't need to be loud, just help set the mood.
If you EQ out the bass (and it sounds like you don't need it) it'll make it easier on whatever speakers you use.

DIY truss base plate?
I picked up some 12" square truss and am wondering if I can DIY base plates to use them as totems. Baltic Birch seems pretty strong, but I feel like I'd need to reinforce the place where the truss couplers screw in. Has anyone tried something like this? Perhaps I'm over thinking, the pipes are ...

Re: Inuke 6000 Cut out
Odds are the BFM subs are much more efficient than the Carvin tops (I don't see a response chart in the manual for the Carvins) so you could take some load off the amp by letting your BFM subs take over the range they normally cover--up to 100hz or so.
This assumes you're using the same amp for both.

Re: Setting limiters
If I recall correctly, Crown does list voltages for the Xti in its manual. Not for the XLS though.

Shouldn't there be more than one set of braces with a 24" wide cabinet?

Re: 2 x 36" THT LP with front firing mouth
There are amps that don't have fans, like the A500:

Not a specific recommendation, I haven't used one myself, but others have. It's probably plenty powerful enough.

Short speaker poles source (USA)
I'm finishing up my short SLA pro's to go with the full size ones and I need to get some short 1 3/8" poles to mate them together. I glanced around at Home Depot but nothing jumped out at me. What's a good source for appropriate tube/pipe?

Re: bi-amp set up suggestions
You will want to high-pass the tops so they don't interfere with the subs. If the amp for the tops also has a good DSP (like the Behringer you're using for your subs) it could potentially be done there.
