Re: DJ lighting advice needed
I mean the Megapanel's preprogrammed chases flash really abruptly. I thought it was subtly annoying compared to the Colorstrip chase. I wasn't using the controller's automatic scene-change timer.

Re: DJ lighting advice needed
I'd like to know more from users of the DMX controllers too then please. I thought that, while yes, controllers have 256 channels (as DMX does), that doesn't neccessarily mean you have sufficient ability to run, eg only, say more than 5 fixtures on a base model, because it takes up "memory&quo...

Re: DJ lighting advice needed
I've written about my lighting before on here, but I don't mind doing it again. :) I have an inexpensive DMX controller (Chauvet Obey 40) and preprogrammed 8 scenes for dancing (and 8 for slow dances.) Some nights I push a button to change the lights every few songs, other nights I change them with ...

Re: Playing with Groups Advice
If there's a leader, I make suggestions to him. If there's not, I tell the person what I'm thinking. "Hey Johnny, what if we just had drums and guitar here, then ramp it up with keys and bass at the chorus?" "Dan, move that snare just in front of the beat, I love that. You're too loud...

Re: Lightest, most efficient solution for a Sound Sys On a B
Don't plan on rolling a T39 behind the bike unless you put shock absorbers on it. Mine bounce like crazy when I pull them quickly on anything uneven. Maybe pneumatic tires would work.

Re: First DJ Gig: 2-T39 and 2-OT12
I bought this and I love it. I stand for my DJ gigs, and this goes to counter-height (36"), so I don't have to bend over all night as I adjust the playlist. I pinned a black sheet to fit over mine, but I'm planning on custom tailoring (or getting the wife to help) some stretchy fabric so I don'...

Re: Songs with Weak Bass
I just edit the song in Audacity to EQ in more bass, where I want it. (Save the original, so you can always go back.)

Re: Starting my own Titan 48 Adventure
Some of the best advice I got here was to bite the bullet and get the premium driver. I have a sub worth two subs with lesser drivers. Reworking the cabinet to make it fit costs you time and the money spent on the first drivers. If you don't have the money now, you won't have it later either. Save y...

Re: Jack 10 & TAT for bass rig
That sounds great. I would have thought that the TAT would not keep up with two Jacks, but if it's working, it's working. I'd love to see some pictures of your setup.

Re: 4xT30 & 2OT12 review
Don't set up your whole stack until you know the best placement for your subs -- or at least that they're not in a null. Use one, check the room, move it and check again. That's what I do every time. Takes less than five minutes.

I think you mean "Found Off-Road Dead".

Sorry, between my poor knowledge and fuzzy memory I'm not much help. Re: Hello from South Carolina
I hear you on venue layout -- at one wedding reception I had, there was no dance floor or place for a DJ. We had discussed layout, but the DJ/Bride plans get trumped by venue/Bride plans. So, I asked what they would do, and they planned to pull tables to the side and put the dance floor in the middl...
