Re: New Build of Old-style T39s
Got two good coats of duratex on today. That stuff is so amazing.....closed the lid on it just at a year ago. Not a dry spot in the tub. It is so easy to roll on, I couldn't imagine shooting it would give any better results and my cleanup took all of two minutes....and that's because I actually clea...

Re: New Build of Old-style T39s
Did you roll or spray the primer on there, Bruce? They look darn good for just primer!!! Nice, clean cab. Your edges are perfect. Just rolled on with a cheap 6" roller. It dries to fast that you can start the second coat as soon as you finish the first one. I think the key is to get flat black...

Yes, it is all very sobering. Tragedy can strike anywhere, anytime.

Re: New Build of Old-style T39s
Very nice, Bruce. Congrats! The hard part of your new T39s is done! Question for you: In this pic, the two smaller panel braces on the left; do you glue those in before you glue in the panel it connects to? Seems it would be a lot easier to do that than to try and wedge it in there after the fact. ...

Re: Probably a stupid limiter question but please be patient
Thanks for your help. This stuff just fries my brain. But I will say this BSS FDS-336 limiter behaves the way I expected it to behave. I can't say the same thing about the Driverack PA limiter. Never had a problem with either of the two driveracks that I use. They have held firm every ti...

Re: Probably a stupid limiter question but please be patient
Nope....the voltage from the power amp is the voltage that you are concerned with....not the mixer. I get that. I just mean with all the gain settings the same in the DSP and the amp knobs wide open then the max out of the mixer drives the power amps to a specific voltage that you set by the limite...

Re: Probably a stupid limiter question but please be patient
So say I want to limit the voltage to 40 volts all I care about is setting the threshold of the limiter so the reading at the max signal out of the mixer is 40 volts, correct? Nope....the voltage from the power amp is the voltage that you are concerned with....not the mixer. If so I have been makin...

Re: Probably a stupid limiter question but please be patient
RMS, PMS, MSNBC......none of those are relevant in setting your voltage. Use a voltmeter attached to the outputs of the amp. With the amp all the way up, sent a test tone through your system where the main output is just below hitting the red. Now, use your DSP device to limit the signal until the v...

Been out sick and lost 5 days of work time on these.....Anyway, back at it yesterday.. Re: Table tuba first BFM build
For odd shaped pieces, use the largest dimensions to make it square (or rectangle). If you aren't getting a solution, then you don't have enough supply material. Add another sheet of plywood to the supply side and see what happens.
