Re: Jack 110 questions

2x4? Been there done that! :) Nothing wrong with it until you forget your trusty wood block at the house. These are probably taller than you want, but somthing similar could be a good option. Re: Jack 15 Lite Build

At least for the side sheathing, I remember a couple well placed ratchet straps can help hold em in place.
Also might try leaving the sheathing in a 5 gallon bucket or similar overnight to get some pre-bend into the wood so you're not fighting it as much when you go to install them.

Re: retrofitting larger mouth

OK, so you've all got me thinking today, and I made a few Sketchup modifications for us visual learners out here. as usual you gotta trust that Bill is right, and the correct answer is to V-Plate the T48s for better low end sensitivity. What does that mean if you only have 3 cabs? Option A add a pan...

Re: What's to chat about?

Hey guys, It looks like Emenince is being handed off to the B&C Speaker family. https://bcspeakers.com/en/news/186 After reading the press release, my "Hometown American Pride" may be a little sad that Eminence is now ran by the Italians, but I'm not too concerned just yet. I have high...

Re: Titan 48 for 12v build// No Labs in the UK

Hey,
Good luck on the build, I'll be following along to see how it turns out!

I'm mostly here to agree with Seth that 2x 12" drivers are probably better for your setup.

Also, to confirm my 30" wide T48's weigh about 125ish Pounds.
Thats Baltic birch and a heavy 18Sound driver.

Re: Ok, Bill you told me to post here. SLA center channel

You want to keep the internal volume the same as the plans. I believe it's less critical in a sealed enclosure but I'd do the math to keep it the same. If you raise the top "X" amount bring the back in "Y" to compensate. Too much math for me with the curved baffle, but, Good luck...

Re: Small PA Speaker Array using Goldwood GT-1005 Tweeters

Your question reminded me of this thread, https://billfitzmaurice.info/forum/viewtopic.php?p=282256#p282256 They are tweeters so definitely not going to be "Full range" but could maybe work for some spoken word depending on your expectations. Annoying alarms? Definitely capable! We use sim...

Re: OT12 for 12 volt system.

Open question. When towing you sub with a cart/ bicycle, would it be optimal to face the mouth of sub downward? Like loading it off a wall, Asuming it's less than 2 feet off the ground. Would there be potentially noticeable phase problems if your sub was facing to the side instead? I'm imagining a p...

Re: need help identifying this cabinets

The current Tuba 30 is close to the old T36 in size/shape at least. 30"x30"x (16"-30") for a single 12" driver option. 30+" for a dual 12 Your drivers would possibly work to swap over, although I'm not familiar with the specific Beyma drivers you have pictured above. Hi...

I talked to him earlier this week...

The email address I have for him is different than what is listed on Bill's Builder page... but if you send a message through Leland's website it should go to - questions@speakerhardware.com I think.

Another option, is to quiet the source with mesh heads. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PP2310SN--remo-silentstroke-propack-10-inch-12-inch-16-inch-22-inch-with-free-14-inch-snare-head I have no experience with these and am not a drummer, but the reviews seem to be positive. low volume cymba...

A 16" cab uses 15" wide panels, so that buys you a little kerf room, but dont forget about your braces too. I'd say one t30 is close to 2 sheets.

Re: DIY room treatment

I like the Rockwool stuff, have used it a little bit. We build some clouds with it for a guy once, turned out well. Where to place? I'd start on the walls where the first reflection of sound will hit your listening position. Take a seat in your favorite spot and have a friend walk around the room ho...
