Re: First build 24" thtlp!

I saw that the other day,
I think they just changed colors on it. You should be good.

Although, I haven't tested it yet.

Good luck of the THT!

Re: What's to chat about?

Going back to the s2012 vs Delta-12LFa debate, besides weight, the only difference I found was their ability to handle "abuse". The thermal rating and the X-lim are both down on the s2012 compared to the Delta. Of course properly limited it shouldn't be a problem but its something to consider. With ...

Re: XF-208 anyone? :D

I've really been wanting to make a XF2-6.5. (Always find something else to do instead though...) After initial testing with different drivers in a SLA pro 2x6 I had sitting around, I think it would work pretty well. Especially with a small 5W head or something. Also wondering if I could get lucky an...

Yeah, #TDi club!! :)

I've been wanting a decent trailer for a while too!
Well, that or a sprinter van. Or both!!

Usually end up stacking it all up in the back of my brothers long-bed truck.

Re: OTop 15" with 5-string bass, anyone?

Have you looked at the SPL Charts for the different designs? https://billfitzmaurice.info/forum/viewforum.php?f=12 Otop 15 vs jack 15 aren't going to be drastically different. I don't have any experience with the Otop 15 but the jack 15 was the first BF cab I ever built back in high school for bass ...

Re: What's to chat about?

Interesting links Seth, I'll have to check those out later. In reference to the gated oscillator for Kick. I do that all the time! (Probably too much) But, it sure can come in handy sometimes. Like tonight, when the Reggae band's drummer brings this* in as his Kick drum... 20191122_005728.jp...

Re: Behringer Wing announcement

It is a Behringer, But I'd say the price is pretty good for what you get. Like most digital consoles, is basically a computer with a bunch of fancy specific buttons. You also save a good chunk of money on the limited local I/O. No point in paying for 32+ preamps on the console if you always use a di...

Re: Behringer Wing announcement

Yeah, we still don't know too much about that one.
But the newer V4 firmware for the M32/X32 consoles look pretty cool. The big thing there being individual routing capabilities.

Also, the new personal monitoring controller are interesting.

Re: What's to chat about?

I've always wanted to set one of these up at FOH or somewhere in the crowd to see if it actually sounds like I remember... https://3diosound.com/products/free-spa ... microphone

It's not exactly what they are marketed for, but if it worked, It would be a pretty easy way to capture the show.

Re: Tuba 60 Largest setup.

So, I was thinking about your Quad Cab Monster Sub, and I like the idea, (if you have a big enough truck).
Although, if it were me, I'd keep the 4 individual subs and just strap them all to the same cart to keep the versatility of having separate subs.

TLAH Pro, non-spec cheap driver

Hi, I've found a good deal on an 8" driver that's not quite to spec for the TLAH Pros. I understand that it's not recommended, but at 1/6 the cost of an alpha 8, I'm curious to see if it's close enough to try. :fingers: Alpha 8 vs budget 8 respectively Fs 73 vs 53 Qts .6 vs .8 Vas 18l vs 21l Link to...

Re: XF212 for PA?

Hi CsConrad, Welcome to the Forum. I gotta say, I'm a little confused, you mentioned the OTOP 12 would be way overkill then described the room as holding 300 people or more... in a room that big you could get away with 2 OTops on each side at least. Have you purchased your drivers already? Coaxial d...
