Re: Tuba Haystack Configuration
Seth is correct. I am not trying to squeeze out overall output or dispersion. I just wanted to know the theoretical correct way.
Thanks

Tuba Haystack Configuration
Hello, What should the mouth orientation of the tubas be in haystack configuration (4-16 pieces). Mainly, is there any benefit having the mouths mirrored from one another either on the top and bottom or the sides.
Thanks

Re: Tuba 45 Lab 15
Thanks for the reply. My logic is that the T45 has an option for a dual lab 12 like the T60.... Lab 12 and Lab 15 are very similar drivers. Current prices, Lab 15- $335, 2-lab 12 - $520.

Tuba 45 Lab 15
Would a Lab 15 work well in a Tuba 45? It seems like a logical decision solely based on vd/$.

Re: Tuba 60 Outdoor Wall Loading
Nice setup! A couple things I might point out/ask: Do you really need the 6db of gain from boundary loading? I know you gain more than just boundary loading by eliminating cancelations. Some of the compromises by having them against the wall include the layout, esthetic and the ability of people to ...

Re: DR300 response
Also, You should measure the woofer and compression drivers separate without any crossovers and you will see why they cannot sum at any frequency from 1-2k regardless of polarity and phase.

Re: DR300 response
Bill, when measuring the woofer and compression drivers separate in the cabinet, you can see the woofer accounts for the large dip. I even changed the dampening and materials in the cab to see if it would help. I have triple checked the throat filler. As I previously stated I have tried completely d...

Re: DR300 response
I have measured mine 100 different ways, woofer only to compression driver only with the crossover and without. I am 1000% sure it is not in the signal chain(s).

Re: DR300 response
I have the exact same issue with my DR300's using impero 12A and NSD2005's using the plan crossover and the even biamped. I got a 3-4 db extra by time aligning when biamped. I loaded the DR300's with B&C 12ndl88 and B&CDE250 and have similar results. I am no master with measuring but it was ...

Re: First public run - informal wedding DR200 pair-Titan48 pair
A local band sound engineer I know uses Centipede by Knife Party to test setup his equipment, so he recommended a demo with that. I advise everyone to not look that up. What a terrible song to play on such a nice setup. If you've heard 1 edm song, you've heard them all. Well I'm glad it turned out ...

Nice build thread! I can't tell from your pictures but a 23guage pin nailer is the handiest tool. Even if you do use one I can't stress enough for others to get one. Looking forward to your review.
Edit, I see you have built a pile of cabinets...You know the drill.

Re: Trying to dust the cobwebs off.
What a rig you have! I would suggest using a software with a room simulator so you can see what happens to target frequencies with placement. I have used REW a handful of times and it was surprisingly accurate for the frequencies I was concerned about. Using the software and understanding the 1/4 wa...

Re: Things that go boom
I am probably not telling anyone anything they don't know, but make sure you PL the crap out of the popsicle sticks. The last thing you want is something that is able to vibrate/move. Bruce's brad solution works great for my methods. Your cabs look great.

Tuba60 Lab12C
I know this has been discussed but my searches came up empty. What is the voltage limit of a Lab12c in a Tuba 60.
