T-24's vs. T-39's again!!!
Finally had a day to actually bring these out to play. T-24's: 2 dual 22" and 2 single 16" bp102-4 loaded VS. 2 T-39 23" 3012lf loaded. Once again, as I did back last November I think, no measurement tools or scientific gear, 35 feet out, just A-Bing them by unplugging one set and plu...

Re: My neighbors love me.
Funny, I edited out in my post "Now DCU...", but to me, it will always be the Centrum. Even funnier that you ARE in the Centrum. That is cool!!!

Re: T24 23"dual bp102's vs. T39 23" 3012lf
Make a videoooooo!!! I do have a video, but the camera I used and computer speakers just don't do the justice it deserves. It really has to be heard live to be appreciated. mouth braces? I have them on now. I just couldn't wait to try it out, if you know what I mean. And building a Titan it's easy ...

Re: T-39's ready to go to work!
Does the paint on the grill feel like it would flake off after a few uses? Or do you think it is going to hold up to road ware. To be honest, I think the grills would get damaged before the paint would scrape off, especially for bands moving equipiment in and out of clubs and bars all the time. As ...

Re: T-39's ready to go to work!
Can you post a close up picture of this steel mesh + felt grille you made? http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg141/djdave123/grill2004-1.jpg I'm hoping to maybe get these out soon to do an A-B comparison of one with the grill on, and one with it off to see how much of a difference there will be, i...

Re: T-39's ready to go to work!
Thank Scott. I just used standard black felt found at any fabric store or Walmart, but I haven't tested them with the felt on them yet. I painted the grills first, dabbed the back with a sponge and glue, then layed the felt on. I did practice with some scraps first and found that a very fine coating...

T-39's ready to go to work!
Seems like it took forever to get these done (which they're still not, cosmetically), but I really did go about this very casually. I do have the tilt back handles on, but haven't cut out the fabric yet. Adding the curved front was an after thought. I made these square per the plans, and added the e...

Re: T24 23"dual bp102's vs. T39 23" 3012lf
Want to really be "WOW"-ed? Build another, V-plate them Its already happening. Actually started building 2 at the same time, but wanted to make sure that it was worth the time and money before I went any further on the second one. Needless to say, I'm almost done with the second. I'm just...

Re: T24 23"dual bp102's vs. T39 23" 3012lf
http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/gg141/djdave123/davest39016edit.jpg Video later. The volume was enough to bother the neighbors, but then I turned it up just for fun for maybe 30 seconds, and later found out that everything in the house was shaking. (Thats just a small addition in the pic.) She w...

T24 23"dual bp102's vs. T39 23" 3012lf
Without using any technical equipment, this was a simple A-B comparison of a t24 23" dual bp102(4ohm series=8ohms total) vs a T39 23" 3012lf. Crossed at 110 and just switching between the two subs with music playing by unplugging one and plugging in the other. I hesitated on building the T...

Re: OmniTop 12 ready to go to work
The ports are on the back, vertically on the left and right side. Actually, my main intention for doing this is because most of the time, the speakers are on the left and right of me...right in line with my DJ booth and mic, and I was a little concerned that that if the ports were on the side, I wou...

Re: Hello :P
I personally love my 2 dual loaded 24" T-24's. Mostly weddings 100-200 people without wall loading and sometimes v-plating right in from of my booth. Plenty of bottom up close and far away which is what I couldn't get before. Although I haven't heard the T-39, I can't imagine using anything els...

Re: OmniTop 12 ready to go to work
I really like the look of these! was it your idea to curve them or is that option in the plans? Wow how cool those look all grilled out Thanks. The curve isn't in the plans, it's just something I wanted to try, which is what I love about DIY. Any questions on what I did is in this thread. If its co...
