I was going to do DR280s first but the stinkin' 1/8 hasn't even shipped from where I bought it....and I'm impatient (obviously from this post).

Hole pattern for a 15"
Well, I want to start my T48s...but I don't have the speakers yet. Any kind souls out there know the hole pattern dimensions for a 3015LF? I'm assuming 14" diameter and 8 holes around evenly spaced a half inch farther out. Talking for the spacer. If I have that info I can start building now.

It's easy to cut, easy to bend and easy to trim. No power tools needed....in fact, I can mark and sheer them to size....in multiples. So if I'm building 4 boxes and need 8 of them I can cut all of them at once. Edit: I'd like to eliminate the butt cheek cut outs too.....they seem to be a difficult p...

Building material question
OK, so the back of the "butt cheeks" is called out as 1/8 birch. I can get my hands on 4X8 sheets of ABS that is 1/8 thick. Would that be acceptable to use as an alternative? It would be much easy and quicker to cut and install.

Thanks for the tips! I went to HD yesterday just to look and I actually found true birch 1/8 and 1/4 ply....not the thin top layer laminate stuff but actual equal thickness laminate ply. Also found the Arauco plywood which Bill has recommended as an alternative to Baltic Birch. Where are you that y...

Templates for plywood layouts
So I tend to sit and analyze a lot before I start any project. I would like to end up with four DR290s per side....that's a lot of manual layout on plywood. So I think I'm going to get a sheet of ABS plastic, layout the pieces then cut them out and use those as templates to layout the plywood. Anybo...

Thanks Bill and Tim. Good point that coming up with one myself will help me get familiar with everything. Thanks Tim for the list, too. Especially on the tools. What I don't want to happen is me working away and suddenly need to make a trip to get something from Home Depot to make a particular cut, ...

BOM (Bill of Material) for plans?
Hey all. I got my plans for the DR290 and I'm chomping at the bit to go with it! I'm reading through them now and will do that again a couple of times prior to start. I don't see a BOM (Bill of Materials) anywhere. I'd like to make a single trip to Home Depot with a list of materials I'll need for c...
