Re: Optimal tops spacing outdoors

Cool idea with the ladders, Keryn. How many people and how big is the listening area? Specifically, how wide and deep will your crowd be? And will you be running stereo or mono content?

Re: Crowd Size and Physics of Pi(e):Yet another sizing post

I do the size crowd you are talking about....have been for many years. I use two OT12s per side and 6 T-39s total. 4 OT12s with the CD horns at 1.2k crossover will serve you well. Add 2 more T48s and you should be golden. You can always V-plate those T48s and get some more oomph out of 'em. +1 to B...

Re: All the gear, and no idea

Hey Keryn, just a thought. Maybe see if you can find a local DJ doing parties or dances or weddings, but who has the typical dumb powered boxes on sticks with subs that fart out, and offer to do a gig together - their DJ expertise, your system. Might help make some connections without seeming too th...

Re: Otop12 integration

The summation between the two enclosures where the early cabinet sees .78ms of delay is the clear better option Wyland, when you say the early cabinet, are you referring to the lower OTop, meaning it is a little closer to the listener? Making me wonder how this would work with my JArrays since I ty...

Re: Hello from Ohio!

I was in the Titan 39 or Tuba30/45 quandary for a good long while before I made my decision, and ultimately went with the Tubas for that small extra low end. Honestly, probably would have been happy either way, but I do love my tubas. And I went with the T30 over the T45 specifically so I V-plate an...

AHA! That makes sense. Thanks, Seth

PMs not sending?

Seems PMs I submit are getting stuck in my Outbox and not sending. Is there an issue with the site or is it something on my end?
thanks

Re: Titan 39 to Tuba 30

Very true, Bill. Even some tracks from the late 80's and 90's that I used to think thumped sounded pretty thin. Again, glad you put out the tuba designs. Love mine!

Re: Titan 39 to Tuba 30

I put integrated casters on my tubas. Helps a lot, even though they are an awkward size. I stack two of them on dollies I build for pushing them up the ramp into my little trailer, as there isn't much room to stack them once inside. Would be a no brainer on the taller titans. Top40 is relatively lig...

Re: Titan 39 to Tuba 30

Doubt you're going to get a reply, Joman116. I debated between titan39s and tuba30s when I was trying to figure out what I wanted to build. No doubt the t39 is the bomb for live music, but I knew I'd be 95% recorded and lots of EDM so that ultimately made my decision to go with the tubas. No regrets...
