Re: Wireless router blues

Thank you for all your replies. What I ended up doing was a pretty simple fix - I moved the router. My "computer room" is pretty small, 'L' shaped. The router was situated on a computer desk under a shelf the monitor sits on. I just moved it to the other side of the desk, which put i...

Wireless router blues

OK, I know there are a lot of smart people here, so I've got a question/problem for your consideration. I live in a 1600+ square foot house. Our computer room is on the second floor which is where the router is. Directly below, on the main floor, is our living room where we have only a few issues co...

Re: Repair amp, or buy new?

I had to return 2 of those units for the very same reason. Thankfully PE's customer service and return policies are very good. I ended up getting one of the Dayton plate amps and haven't had any problems since. It was cheaper too!

Re: Listening in the band

I'm not one to post much, but this topic hits home for me. Allow me to bore you with my story... At 45, I just got married (for the first time) and basically used it as an excuse to quit my band of almost 25 years. I started playing with these people when I turned 21 and it was like the coolest 21st...

Re: What brought you here?

Guitar player and soundman for my band. I was on the Driverack forum learning how to use my Driverack PA unit properly when someone mentioned the tuba sub. I just had to find out what that was....and here I am. I was a long-time Yorkville fan. Took me about 15 years playing in the band to put togeth...

Defective DRPA

I purchased a DRPA on eBay a couple years ago (used, of course). It is now acting up on me. The readout screen is all garbled making it effectively useless. It seems to me that this was a known problem? Does anyone know if there is an easy, cost effective fix? I was gonna contact DBX, but I thought ...

WOW, those are some handsome cabs! Nice work. It looks to me like you're using the combination 1/4"/speakon connectors, correct? How did you deal with connecting the wiring to the small lugs? I've been soldering spade connectors to them to make a larger surface to solder wire to. Just curious h...

David P. - Thank you! That is actually the first time I tried that configuration. I thought I'd give it shot and see how it worked. Worked great. The room filled nicely with low end. BTW, did I miss something somewhere? WHY did you sell your system? Those DR280s of yours were ROCKIN'.

I too have done both, but not indoors. In my neighborhood it just isn't necessary to V-plate indoors. At least not with the T48s. In fact most of our gigs could do just fine with just one T48 properly wall or corner loaded. I do think it's necessary to V-plate outside where the only boudary is the g...

Cool.
I've been considering the O15TB as a drum fill monitor. Any thoughts?

I posted a review in the Reviews section, although looking at it again, I could have been more detailed. I think I was all typed-out after writing this post first. But since you ask, I'll add that my Yorkville subs suffer from the same problems as any other dual 18 reflex box - distortion, lots of t...

This is true. It's a Yorkville E12 - monitor for the keyboardist. Eventually, I intend to replace those commercial cabs with BFM's. I'll add that my Yorkville subs suffer from the same problems as any other dual 18 reflex box - distortion, lots of thump up close but gets lost further out, frequency ...

Full BFM PA

I've been using my BFM PA system now for about a year, so I thought I would give my review and post a few pics. I love seeing other's pics! The last time we played was New Years and it was great! The PA was smokin'! It was a good sized room - maybe 40'x 80'. I had my T48s (24", 3015LF) wall loa...
