Re: 4 tubas v-plated

My settings are different again..

Subs LP: 100hz But24
Tops HP: 100hz But24
Butterworth 24db slopes damp most of the subs rising response and using EQ to tame the remainder. Crossover region sounds perfect, regardless of indoors or outdoors.

Yup, good call. My mistake, I forget the live world is different from the electronic world as that's the world I live in!

Can a T39 handle the low B on a five-string bass?
Low B is about 31hz.

T39 is limited to 45hz, or 40hz in a group of 4+.

The low notes will drop out...

Re: DJ Subwoofer- Yorkville PSA1S "equivalent"?

Like others have mentioned, the choice of sub is driven mainly by the content of the music being played, but it also depends on how fussy you are. If your son plays a lot of edm and is fussy with bass, I'd recommend the tuba route, a pair of T30/T45 with 3012LF would do very nicely. If he doesn't mi...

Re: Tuba 30 bass sick Dual kappalite 3012LF

Single dual loaded T30: HP 35hz, LP 100hz
Pair dual loaded T30: HP 30hz, LP 100hz

I never bother bringing any mains lower than 100hz with these subs even if they have the ability to.

You'll be happy with the OT12s, they are amazing. My pair keeps up with my 6 T30s outdoors if that gives you any idea..

Re: Alternate 10" driver options for Auto Tuba

Thanks Bill, DCS255-4 10" it is. Funnily enough, it's more expensive here in Australia than it is importing from the US. So my original costing stands. Next question, what size amp would I be best running off for this driver, and can you please give me a ballpark voltage limit? I'm guess somewhere a...

Re: Alternate 10" driver options for Auto Tuba

Roger. Sounds like a tedious task but I'll see how I go. Aus seems to have plenty of places that stock drivers with no accompanying specs. Any aussies in the know who can point me in the right direction? *looks at Grant*

Alternate 10" driver options for Auto Tuba

Hi all, Been a while. I'm considering building a couple of auto tubas and am keen to get the best bang for effort. I can get a pair of the Dayton 10" recommended drivers into Australia for $AUD339 delivered. Can the new KL3010LF-8 be used in this design? It's pushing the limits on a couple of the sp...

Most of my stuff is in the t48 range and I could have fit them into my operation easy enough. I really like my t45s and I like the low frequencies but the neighbors and cops don’t like it.
But the T48s, they'll love those :D
