Looking for Authorized Dealers in Europe
Hey there all, first of all I apologise if this is on the wrong part of the forum. The only reference to authorized dealers I could find was the showcase topic and it didn't seem to be the best place. We run a BFM rig in Lisbon, Portugal and have been looking to expand for a while. Unfortunately I n...

Re: Powersoft T604A
oh I plan to follow the plans and what was suggested here. 62~65v of Brickwall limiting and nothing else. I may eventually use some old drivers to test some more extreme values they suggest but not a priority for the moment. I will likely use it on the OT12s as I don't really run limiters there anyw...

Re: Powersoft T604A
well. It's here! WhatsApp Image 2023-06-14 at 13.43.43.jpg Let the testing begin. Just as an update, from the powersoft documentation found at https://www.powersoft.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Powersoft_AN_Limiters_Basic_Concept_and_Operations-1.pdf 5.3 Clip limiter The Powersoft clip limiter is ...

Re: Limit mismatch for 12NLW9300
this is awesome Grant, thank you so much. I'm a slow learner but I'll get there :D Let me try again then: The specs provided by the manufacturer once used in a cab simulation software, using some math that's likely way beyond me, will produce the actual load of the driver on the given design. in the...

Re: Limit mismatch for 12NLW9300
This explains a lot. Thanks guys. I guess I'll take this thread to ask a different question related to this driver then: We run 4 boxes each pair in parallel, so I assume this would turn each pair into 4ohm 800w. But I see the driver specs state a minimum load of 5.7ohm. So I guess my question is, i...

Limit mismatch for 12NLW9300
Hey there all. I was wondering why using the calculator provided here: https://leaprofessional.com/blog/limiter-calculator/ which from what I can tell simply uses the Vpeak = sqrt(PContinuous * R) Using the provided specs from 18sound found here:https://www.eighteensound.it/en/products/lf-driver/12-...

Re: Powersoft T604A
6 Titans would be the "final form" Plan moving forward is to redo our v-plate ( We made one about 5 or 6 years ago out of MDF just to experiment and it's long become unusable), make 2 more tops and bring the final stack to 4 vplate t48 and 4 omnitop 12. That will likely be all we can budge...

Re: Powersoft T604A
thanks for the quick answer. That would be my thought as well. Initially we were planning on having a T302 just for sub duty. But I guess we can flip that now since the 604 should in theory be more than enough to run 8 titans with a 2 per channel config. and then the T302 should confortably handle 4...

Re: Powersoft T604A
disregard the "SW" profile on channel 3, it's a remnant from another calculation

Powersoft T604A
Hey there everyone! It's been a while! We've been running our 4xTitan48 and 2OT12s for a few years now, mostly trouble free, and always extremely happy with it. But all these years we've been running them through some cheap Thomann amps and have decided to finally step up to a proper amplifier. That...

Re: First Build. Titan 48 w Lab 12.
I think that was it.
After changing to LR24 ran the 50hz sine again, same meter read 82v instead of the 70v It had.
Lowered the limiter to 0db and now runs at a smoothly 69.4v
Also, ran some bass heavy music (that was spiking at 73v) and now it never goes over 68v.
Quite happy now.

Re: First Build. Titan 48 w Lab 12.
ok, I found this online Butterworth for odd filters, Linkwitz for even. A Linkwitz is just cascaded butterworth filters. Bessel filters are for keeping an even phase/group delay. Each of the filters has a different Q value, which give different amplitude responses. BW is Q or 0.49, LR is 0.71 (which...

Re: First Build. Titan 48 w Lab 12.
First of all sorry but I am nothing but a leyman here, so I'm trying to understand everything you said so I don't reply something silly I'm setting up the driverack with 2 similar setups, one running 35hz, one 40hz so I can have both choices at a simple switch. I get a lot of different cutoffs when ...
