Re: piezio sounding blown

+1 Bill, you were correct, there was a bad source in the signal chain, turns out the right side of my amp has some slight distortion until it warms up.

thanks Man!

Re: piezio sounding blown

All ready checked for rattles, loose items etc, even went as far to use isolation bushing on the array mounts, Noise is the distortion kind you get with a blown speaker!

piezio sounding blown

I have a Jacklight 12 with a flat array of 8 piezios and the recommended high and low pass filters. I have the piezio's switched so i can turn them off. Recently they have the vibration sound similar to a blown speaker. Do i have blown piezos, or something wrong with the high pass filter?? How do i ...

Boxing tape trick

Here is a great tip for you newbie wood builders, a simple method I have use for many years is the CLEAR BOX TAPE. it works the same as the wax paper but affords you the sticky side to attach to your backing/support boards. You can even use it to make line mould for doing fibre glass layups. Happy b...

Re: Phase cancellation via Acoustic Guitar

Hello fellow bassists, So we had the acoustic taken out of the low end and placed my cab behind me closer to the back wall. Must say big difference. I even had to dial it down a few notches. The bass is more fuller and defined.

Thanks

Phase cancellation via Acoustic Guitar

Got a dum question, my lead singer plays acoustic rhythm guitar with a pre amp, we put the acoustic through the mixer and out to the mains and monitors. He sets his on board eq so that there is a lot of bottom end in his acoustic. Just wondering if so much bottom end coming through the acoustic stag...

Re: Jack 12 Lite construction pics

Yeah! I couldn't quite get the potato-potato sound. But I was shoot'n for a color combo like my 05 Heritage. Wayne BTW. Bill, great job on the design I am blown away pardon the pun. You have my recommendation any day! And if anyone is wondering this design is so efficient my little A100 Hartke amp c...

Re: Jack 12 Lite construction pics

As promised the finished pics. The cabs are straight subs with the Delta 2512 drivers no horns or tweeters. I have invested $610.00 CND. I tried them for the first time last evening. For fun and comparison I hook them up to my current system which is a Fender 18" cab (not sure of model) that I ...

Re: which Glue to use

OK, Just so everyone knows I have used the PL400, PL9000 during many renovation and construction projects hence the reason I had the glues on hand and did not want to spend more money. So I went a bought the PL premium as suggested and finally started putting together my two Jack 12 Lites. . The big...

which Glue to use

Hello everyone

I am going to construct two Jack 12 lites. I have the plans and received my wood. I do have a question. I already have some PL400 and PL9000. The plans call for glue similar to PL Premium but I was wondering if I can use the glue I have rather than spend needlessly?
