Re: Jack 12 lite build
I forgot to mention that step in my description. I marked the inner side of the panels as well during the dry fit. After than I put adhesive to the marked parts too. I did not have time to take pictures as I had to rush during the process. This method works properly. Thank you again for your support...

Re: Jack 12 lite build
Finally I started my major project of the weekend. I investigated what was wrong at first time. My findings are: - Proper amount of adhesive was not apply to the braces; - The adhesive that I used has to be applied within 3 minutes but two sides assembly took more time. So one side once, do not rush...

Re: Jack 12 lite build
This weekend I continued my project. I had two sheets in place but with gaps and I had to reinstall the two others. I forgot to check my stock and recognised I did not have enough adhesive. My priority was to finish the assembly of the horn sheets. Fortunately I found a bottle of PU adhesive on the ...

Re: Jack 12 lite build
Thank you Bill!
The "fancy" solution sounds nice.
I am going to try it at weekend and I'll share the result.

Re: Jack 12 lite build
I was ready to install horn sheets but I made some serious mistake I would like to share. I decided to fix the horn sheets without brads or staples. I tried two methods. First I made a “dry” fit, installed the jig screwed to the baffle. Then I apply glue, curved and fixed the sheets with clamps. Oth...

Re: Jack 12 lite build
I continued my build last weekend.
To install of sides horn braces was quick and easy. Everything is squared.

Re: First build: 2x Otop8
I have some questions: Question #5: Painting the horn reflectors with Warnex (EU Duratex) - good idea or not? Have seen people doing duratex on the outer layers of the cabinet, but used a normal paint for the reflectors of the horn. Same goes for the HF horn. Just asking to be sure.. I used 2k prim...

Jack 12 lite build
Hi, A have started a new project. After I finished OT12s and T39s (https://billfitzmaurice.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=24406), I was daring to jump into the adventure of a pair of JL12 building. It looks amazing and based on the description a pair would be more than enough for our band in ma...

THX ACUA!
Honestly the secret of the success is the solid design and the easy to follow plan.
Even tho I had to recalculate everything to IS.

Re: OT 12 build in Hungary
Final pictures with proper size dowel. :) I have been using this cabs for one and half years. Clear and very nice sound, good feedbacks from audience. Very easy to carry, even these are not light versions! OT12s are hunger for four T39 at least. :) Unfortunately the most of the time there is not eno...

Re: OT 12 build in Hungary
Very nice build and finish! The dowel in your CD horn doesn't look like it is wide enough (in diameter). You should replace it with the right diameter dowel. The purpose of that rod is to make it a diffraction rod, to increase horizontal dispersion... :wall: Thank you Grant! You have right. My calc...
