What is going on here?
Was re-listening/watching videos for some old favorite tunes and never noticed this about the Beastie Boys "Gratitude" video until re-watching just now. In the video about 2:08, when the keys kick in, there are some shots showing a speaker with a revolving driver on both the top and bottom...

PA+ Delay Question
I don't have my PA+ in front of me and only going off the manual. Will jump in front of it tomorrow after work. Can't seem to get a definitive answer from the manual if the delay can be set only for the tops (to compensate for the travel path of the horn) or if it delays everything together. The des...

Re: Bi-Amping for Sub-Bass
Thanks Bill. I didn't think it sounded right. If you have a moment, what causes the 6db reduction?

Bi-Amping for Sub-Bass
I recently did a wedding with all four of my Tuba 30's. I had another person who I've known in the DJ and local audio community for awhile suggest that I use two amps for my subs. One for the 30/35 to 60 hertz range and another for the remaining 60-90 hertz. Anyone played around with it? Thoughts? P...

Re: Wireless Microphones...Mic Input or Line?
Before you go counting your blessings... according to the spec sheet these mics operate at 600mhz and above. If they are above 698mhz, they are not legal to use in the US (and have been for several years). If they are between 604 and 698mhz, they will be illegal to use very soon, and will very like...

Wireless Microphones...Mic Input or Line?
I recently was gifted three wireless microphones and 2 pre-amps along with a bunch of other stuff from my work when they were upgrading their A/V gear. I emailed the manufacturer for the manuals because I can't find them online. Plugging them into the pre-amp set to mic level and they seem to come i...

Re: Add it again...T30's at 21"
Yes.. I guess it's: 2 subs: look at the charts 2 subs + V: charts + 3dB 4 subs + V: at 6 dB (for doubling sub-count) to chart and 3db for V-plate So, count +9db at the chart for 2 subs..... why not 12db? (I hope it's 12dB.... :)) I believe it's one sub look at the charts. Two subs would then be +6d...

Re: Add it again...T30's at 21"
How much extta db for 2 subs normal placement vs 2 x 2 subs v-plated? (Outdoor) I'll go out on a limb and anyone please correct me if I am incorrect. A set of subs v-plated would be +3db when v-plated. Two sets of subs spread wide but next to each other http://billfitzmaurice.com/images/cabs/T36/4s...

Re: Add it again...T30's at 21"
A V-plate will give you an extra free 3 db. If you split the stack for a left and a right, it would be beneficial to V-plate both stacks. Fully aware of the benefits a v-plate gives and thanks for the reinforcement. I'll try to rephrase the question. How many times when setting up subs do people go...
