Re: C-lo's Twin Tuba Build

Well, I guess that's one of the great things about a lot of BFM's speaker designs, you don't need a s#!t load of power for them to sound really good. If that amp is only putting out 210w x 2 rms, it's ok to me, they're plenty loud, and only getting better. I'm still tweeking the dsp on the amp. Radi...

Re: C-lo's Twin Tuba Build

I know companies claim their amps put out more wattage than they actually do. I'm sure it's less than 300 x 2, but I don't care enough to measure. The subs are plenty loud, and they are only for HT duty. I agree with subharmonic, I'm going for the best quality. If I do anything, it will be a sub cra...

Re: C-lo's Twin Tuba Build

The drivers I used handle 300 watts rms @ 4 ohms. The inuke puts out 300 x 2 @ 4 ohms. And like I said, it rattles cabinets, windows, and more. It's got plenty of oomph for me! I'm pretty happy with the output since I've adjusted the amp with my pc, it's just that the bass is way louder in places ot...

Re: C-lo's Twin Tuba Build

Haha! You guys are hilarious. No, I didn't OB, and my woman's not sitting on one! I got them connected, and at first was worried because there wasn't much bass coming from them. I tried uploading a video, but it didn't work, so I'll take another one. I'm pushing these with a behringer inuke 1000 wit...

Re: Bassiest songs you've put through your BFM system?

 Just read through this whole thread. I can't believe there has been no mention of DJ Magic Mike. Feel the bass http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ImWaOLR4Ko&feature=youtube_gdata_player Lower the dynamite http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bi_q77GOnZg&feature=youtube_gdata_player And there'...

Re: C-lo's Twin Tuba Build

Thanks guys. I have actually already been using a flashlight to go over the joints. I haven't done it with the lights off, I think I'll do that to double check everything. I definitely highly recommended the flashlight trick. I found weak spots where the PL was thin, that wouldn't have been seen wit...

Re: C-lo's Twin Tuba Build

Thanks miked. I definitely am going clarity, but I want the power when I crank it, and obviously no distortion. That scene was always a favorite for showing off my old HT. The minigun in the helicopter with spent casings falling from the sky is badass! Wow Bill, that thread is huge! I gotta lot of r...

Re: C-lo's Twin Tuba Build

Wouldn't OTops be too much? I thought those were PA cabs?

I saw a video with some SLA Pro mini's, I was thinking something like that..

Re: C-lo's Twin Tuba Build

Thanks, Ken. Subharmonic, this is a spare room in my house, not living area. I pre cut all the wood in the garage, and I'm building inside. It's hot in Texas, I'm not spending anymore time than I have to out in that s#!t !!! As far as the other speakers, I have been reading the forums, and I'm leani...

Re: C-lo's Twin Tuba Build

Ha! Funny you say that, miked, I'm now engaged again. So, I guess I'm just replacing the filter? LOL. She's really cool about this, and likes that I have a hobby/project that I'm passionate about. I don't know that she's ever heard a good HT, so I don't think she really knows what she's gotten herse...
