Re: Carts, Amps and Interface.

I believe it's a 3B, but not a 3B+. Runs flawlessly. I think I'll just Velcro it to the back of the monitor.

Look closely: That's a port. It has depth.

Re: 6 Tuba 45s

The driver spec sheet is perfectly accurate for the mounting hole and screws. Lay it out with a compass and a straight-edge... Probably more accurate than printing it out.

Don't let 'better' be the enemy of 'good'. Hook them up and run them. After you get over the initial shock, proceed to tune to your heart's content. Don't let critical tuning get in the way at first. You'll probably want to damn the lot of us for letting you get into this.... You're welcome.

Re: Another OTop8 question

By building Bill's designs, you WILL be maximizing system output.

I urn 4 24" T48s and 4 OT12s, mixer, PC, 2 Wedgehorn 8s, and the DJ deck from ONE 15A plug.
(Oh yeah, also the band's backline amps....)

Re: Box volume behind woofer

The ratio of back box volume and horn volume remains the same. Your calculated back box volume is for a direct radiator. Horns are a bit different.

I just ran a show on a W98 machine. XairEdit is only 12 megabytes.

Re: Favorite vocal mic?

I carry half a dozen SM58s but they don't come out that often. My favorite, though unfortunately recently discontinued, is the Shure 588SDX. I think they are the last iteration of the Unisphere... It has a little less prox effect than the 58, but the high end has a bump around 12k that really works ...

Re: Compression Horn Measurements

Read the plans all the way through (before making sawdust, or even buying wood) Repeat. Build according to the plans. Don't skip ahead. Don't substitute. Follow every step. Trust the plans. Don't drink and build. Don't rush. Accept that you may be FLAMED if you decide to deviate from the steps or me...
