Re: T45 Driver advice
Grant, do you think that the "clip limiter" built into my QSC RMX 2450 would be a sufficient voltage limiter? No, no, a thousand times no..... There are a few amps that have true limiters in them - that one doesn't. You'll need a real limiter that you'll set with a voltmeter. Th...

Tilting SLA's
For bigger events (by my standards) I use full SLA pros on top of mini ones turned in a bit for center fill. I have a set of K&M tilt adapters (shown below) to give the little array a bit of tilt, but...an SLA on top of a mini is pretty tall and I get nervous about their stability when tilted. C...

Re: T39's and SLA pros in San Antonio
Miserably hot. I put several blower fans on the dancefloor and there's a cooldown room next door. Really surreal experience thoughBruce Weldy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 09, 2019 10:04 am Good to know that there are some BFMers close by.
And.......how hot is it in those costumes?

T39's and SLA pros in San Antonio
Texas ballroom in the Wyndham Riverwalk, a 50' x 100' room that we were set up the long way in. SLA pros sitting on top of mini's on either side of the stage being driven off a Crown XLS1500, and four T39's (2x15 and 2x20) driven by a pair of Xti2000's stacked and V-plated in the left corner (not vi...

Re: 2x Tuba 30 Build (First Build)
As I’m gluing & assembling my first Tuba I’m noticing that the PL Premium that has squished out the sides of the panels is getting slightly crumbly if I scrape at it as it is drying. Is that normal? It comes out of the tube nice & gooey and spreads a nice bead, but I was a little surprised ...

Re: Tlah pro build
Good morning. What do most people use for center speaker and surrounds? I will be putting these speakers behind a transparent screen. I have seen that the best bet for center speaker would be another tlah pro. Is that correct? The curved sla is really cool looking. The other thing I was wondering i...

Re: Calling all Karaoke gurus
There's a lot of perfectly good karaoke videos on Youtube. I like the services because they're more consistent, but inevitably people want stuff that isn't offered on them.

The THT is crazy rigid with 1/2", the complex internal structure provides plenty of bracing. No worries

SLA's and T39's
Setting up for karaoke, singing by Zain, the audio lead. :) Full and short SLA's as mains, and 2x20" T39's and two slims in front of the stage. Placement wasn't my first choice, but we tried them in the back corner also and got peaks and valleys either way so we went with his placement. I think...

Re: Voltage and Limiting (New To Forum)
Thanks a million for the feedback gentlemen. Sorry for the late response I was expecting an email notification if a response was entered. Thank you @ CoronoOperator - makes sense 2. I bridged a QSC RMX2450 and with no Speakers connected turned up to 55 Volts. Were the gain knobs on the amp at full,...

Were the gain knobs on the amp at full, or only high enough to read 55 volts on the meter?Richness wrote: 2. I bridged a QSC RMX2450 and with no Speakers connected turned up to 55 Volts.

Re: newbie-ish plywood question
I think I got two t39 slims out of three 5x5 sheets, if I remember right? Definitely use cutlist to check that. That sounds nice and efficient. How wide? Actually no, I did the slims at different times so I don't have an exact number. (they were 15" wide, the minimum width for a 12" drive...

Re: Crown XLS Series
The difference between narrower and wider subs of the same family is efficiency. I use my wider ones when I have transport space for them, but sometimes I don't!
