Ah, so what is good for a bass cab 250-500Hz (ie. clarity) could be a problem for electric guitar (muddiness). Thanks!

Re: XF Cab mod idea

I'm in Traverse City MI. I am going to build one. I just finished two Tuba 24's that I started 5+ years ago. They sound sooo good! I have more time now and should be able to get the XF done much faster. I just bought two Celestion TF1018's to put in first. I am using a Quilter OD200 and also need to...

XF Cab mod idea

First, there are way too few XF cab demos on youtube. I am thinking of building one. Like many others in the guitar community I have been looking at the Barefaced cabs and trying to figure out if they are for real. I have listen to them only on videos which I know is limited info, but I did finally ...

On old dead threads, people are home, out of work and returning to their hobbies.

XF Cab

I am building an XF Cab and was wondering if designing an "Augmented Vent Diffractor" or Helmholtz Resonator would improve the room experience.

SLA Pro box size

I would like to build the SLA Pro with four 4 inch drivers and since the drivers go up to 20 Hz I plan to eliminate the tweeters. With no tweeters I was wondering how small I can go with the box dimensions. The drivers I am using are the Faital 4FE35.

Greetings from Traverse City Michigan

I am a new member of the forum and have recently become acquainted with BF designs. I look forward to building some boxes and learning about folded horn design.

Thx!
