Re: Jack 12 Lite in Busking rig (Battery Powered)

you can also out-board the battery from the rig if you wanted to have an extended playtime setup.

i'm honestly astounded at the runtime life some of these bigger bluetooth rigs come in at these days...

Re: Jack 10 LT Fin!

so it wasn't exactly a Steely Dan production, and Jann Wenner wasn't in the control room writing liner notes. lol, that one's going to go right by, and nobody gonna say anything? I about spittaked on my KB still get airplay 50 years after their heyday. I don't see too many of today's acts doing the...

Re: What Brand of hand tools to get?

Harbor Freight is hit and miss...the super cheap stuff is disposable...good in a pinch for one-time use. Their expensive stuff rates well, but I have to drive past several Lowe's and Home Depots to get to the closest Harbor Freight, so if I need to take something back, it's 45 miles each way. I go ...

Re: Need help with Ground loop Humm

Hello guys, I hope this may have an easy fix. We had a VOIP telephone system installed at out business back in Oct. and for paging, we have a dedicated phone whose speaker output is sent to the AUX input of a small amp to send PA out to the yard. After they installed it, there was a noticeable humm...

Re: New Design Ideas??

Well if you’re up for a challenge that fits those criteria, you could design a new form of array that weighs 15 lbs per box, measures something like 12” x 6” x 4,” has 50-22k response, sensitivity over 105db, “max output” about 145db at all frequencies, ruler flat frequency and phase response with ...

Re: New Design Ideas??

I have nothing planned. Most of what's come out in the last ten years was by request to fill a specific need. I was always curious since discovering your stuff years ago if you messed with anything smaller sized, or if you already had a post discussing smaller stuff(i've tried searching, but the se...

Re: Explaining horn technology to the layman

I love it when an expert introduces their subject~ The answer is that the horn is a transformer, and how it works relates to impedance. For maximum energy transfer between devices the driving device should have an output impedance that's much lower than the input impedance of the device being driven...

Re: Car Door speaker baffles

Car door speakers aren't spec'd to work in a small enclosure. you see, thats what I always thought, that coax and car type speakers were basically an infinite baffle/free air application, right? and that those baffles are actually airtight and become a little enclosure. The point of the baffle then...

Car Door speaker baffles

Stupid question time, Are those foam cup shaped baffles for car speakers useful at all?

Other than protection from in-door weather, It seems like they'd be too deep and squish, or that puncturing them to run wire would compromise their function somehow.
