Re: First BFM Build Odyssey: Tuba 60
Space was a concern for me... I get that, it needn't be full sized, they can be stored elsewhere or used as an assembly/work table also I felt like I didn't have the patience to make that panel jig. For best results, patience is the key.. channel your inner Zen master :) It's going to be a long jou...

I hear you man, are you using the ground stack/coupling brackets in the plans?tribal king wrote: ↑Fri Mar 06, 2026 3:32 pm I currently use a pair of DR280's {stacked vertically} but they are quite hefty to mount atop my {pair} T48's cause I sometimes have no choice but to work solo..

Re: 2x THTLP build after a 10 year hiatus
..I specifically made enough room for two THTLP's to go there and the time has come to build said THTLP's.. I really enjoy seeing these and the T60s come together Are you sure the structural integrity of the room will be able to withstand 2 of them flexing way down in the hz? They'll d...

Re: First BFM Build Odyssey: Tuba 60
Take your time & enjoy the build mate, it'll show in the results. I couldn't imagine doing this with a circular saw I feel like it would be Messier and take longer. With a cutting table & zero clearance circular saw sled (in the panel jig plans), breaking down a full sized sheet accurately s...

Re: WH10 CD vs Peizo
Looks good, if there's enough clearance to fit the HF driver. Ok great, yes there's plenty, using an ASD1001B equivalent. Thank you I applaud you taking on WH10s. I built three of them many years ago - not an easy build with all of the combination miters. Looks good. Thanks Bruce, yes l read your p...

Checking in before l marry the horn to the flare & continue on with the shell, are you seeing any problems?

Re: WH10 CD vs Peizo
I'm thinking of adding the second flare and diffuser rod to the the WH10 CD horn, as l have enough stock of GT1016s to complete pairs of the WH8 & 6, but not all three models of WH. Reason being 1016s end up at around Au$8ea to us, & l have plenty of CDs here. I'd prefer not to use the Daich...

Re: Industry Standards to Turn Everything On/Off
...HT AVRs do this by themselves, it's why there's a delay between when you turn on the power and sound is heard. I've searched for an amplifier speaker output delay relay to add to DIY amps, what l found was a DIY complex capacitor circuit which was above my ability, has anyone seen a pre made uni...

Re: WH10 CD vs Peizo
Excellent
Would the order for widest to narrowest WH HF dispersion be: Panel- Melded- CD?
Is the reason for omitting the WH10 CD horn second flare building ease, or close distance to the performer?
Could the WH8 be stretched to low level top duty also, crossing over at 110Hz?

WH10 CD vs Peizo
G'day gents, I'm about to head into WH builds, with the 10 first up. Can anyone shed light on pros & cons of the CD HF option? Would l be right to say the WH10 (MA+2510) fitted with a pole mount, could do double duty as a top for a pair of subs? If you're just looking for background music at a g...

Re: Melded array issues
G'day Dan, Does this mean I have bad elements in my tweeter arrays? Grab a length of hose, play pink/white noise or a test tone above 3k & hold one end of the hose to your ear, the other closely to each element individually to test. If they're all the same volume/pitch, swap the cab to the other...
