Re: Mobile Pro Sound Set Up

I intend to run the system through a driverack and use their RTA mic for tuning. Ok great, the PA2? I’m going to place the tops at either end on poles to get them above ear level. Excellent, l had thoughts the tops would be inside the structure. Acoustically transparent material is interesting to m...

Re: Mobile Pro Sound Set Up

The ghetto blaster will be on a cart that is approximate 10-11 inches off the ground. I am trying to keep whatever is inside the facade at or around 30 inches tall.. Ok, so the tops will be inside this facade with the sub/s at around leg level? The reason I asked about the OT8 is because the chart ...

Re: All the gear, and no idea

If I was there I could explain it, but there's only so much I can do without actually being there. But l thought you had a crystal ball :) Bill l was wondering if you still are actively involved in using your cabs for events or gigs? Have you kept the cabs you've built? Which are your favourites? F...

Re: Mobile Pro Sound Set Up

The project that I am building is going to be about 6-7 feet in length.. Ok, how high off the ground will this Ghetto Blaster be? This is also my first build in a long time. I'm no dummy, but I am not sure I want to tackle something that involved my first go around. Fair enough.. I am torn between ...

Re: Mobile Pro Sound Set Up

..If you are considering a pair of T24s, I am wondering if you consider a 12" loaded T48, 24" wide if possible.. Great idea Tom :) Are you talking about a Titan 48 loaded with a 12? What would the final dimensions and weight be? Yes, he is. 24x24x48" l'm guessing an empty cab would b...

Re: All the gear, and no idea

..With a sub you're starting off with 360 degree dispersion.. Yes l can grasp the theory of this Bill, which is why l find it interesting when situations are experienced contrary to what should be happening. Tom has also found this first hand, and thinking back when l did the demo, the subs were st...

Re: All the gear, and no idea

I'll admit l was nervous leading up to the event, that dissipated once we were up & running though, it was a great experience and a good test of this system.

Re: All the gear, and no idea

My next door neighbour spoke about a friend of his who wants to coordinate EDM events, so l contacted her and took 4xT48s & 2xDR280s to her farm for a demonstration in September. There was around 20 people who came & went over the night, & the responses to the system were very positive &...

Re: SB 15SW800s into T48

Yes, l agree. If l were to change to all 15SW800s, would l set a 60v or 80v limit?

Re: Y-Splitters instead of a mixer

The most reliable and also most quite solution would be to rent a commercial grade diesel genny on a trailer... Originally there was a trailered 20kva diesel genset hired for the event, which sounded great, however.. When setting for the demo, l took my 5kva generator which the MX3000A amps have wo...
