Re: Hello from Southwest United Kingdom

Yeah PA.

Back in 2013 I ran my Lab12 T39s with Mackie 450 v2's and they seemed to cope fine with dance/trance music. Planning on the odd family disco of oldies/pop/rock n roll too

Re: Hello from Southwest United Kingdom

Hello, Last around about 6 years ago

I built my T39's which got used at 2 events, and have been sitting in the garage ever since!

I lost all my plans on an old computer sadly, so need to figure out which tops I'd like to build and re order them plans again!

Lab 12 Titan 39's & Mackie SRM450v2

Hi everyone, Its been months since I've last been here, owing to a lot of poor health and work issue! Saturday 21st Feb, this date was a friends surprise birthday party. Now he's my partner in crime and handles the lighting of the rig, so we told him it was a paid event some chaps 21st. Titans were ...

Re: Volt meters.

I just fancy something in the rack that would give an indication to show that all this bass is using say 12v is 1/4 of its power so you know that you've still got 3/4 in reserve etc. When plaster starts falling off the walls at 25v you know that its just half power and you can still go a lot more!

Re: Volt meters.

That's correct yeah.

Would be easy for me to spur off my Neutrik powercon (when I get around to fitting it) to supply it

Re: Volt meters.

I use a DCX as a brick wall but would be interesting to see how much more oomph there is in reserve before flat out. Last night I would have loved to have seen a mere 20v knowing it's shaking the hotel about and I can double that voltage. I'm not too clued up on computer PSU's so can't comment on th...

Volt meters.

I've done a search but couldn't see any subjects on this, probably because they are known as voltmeters, dvm, dmm etc... So please forgive me if it has been covered I'm thinking, panel mount volt meter, (one per channel) fitted into a plate, on the front of my amp rack, to show at a glance what volt...

Mobile Disco - 2x Lab12 24" Titan 39's

Well, just got home from the first gig with my T39's - I still need to finish them off I've yet to fill, paint, fit the castors & corners. Sadly, I was without a corner, however I did manage to finish a V Plate all be it at the cost of almost loosing a finger! Tonights gig, was a wedding, for a ...

Oh yes, I agree, the only thing that sounds awesome at the redline is my V8 Rangerover !

But, pissed up nob heads having a blast....? Sometimes the gains get pushed too high.

Re: How to set up a DCX 2496.

I have had to revert back to the JBL amp, I was thinking that to get the 50v max setting, a 60hz sine into the mixer, all faders and gains maxed out so every things in the red, and that should limit the output, on the front of the amp, I managed to get the control to 14, however when bouncing some m...

Re: How to set up a DCX 2496.

Hi Grant, Thanks for this, my pal has a 400x400 RMS amp, managed to blag that and capped it down to 40.2v, however playing with my iPhone with tone generator I manage to hear 30hz unto 140hz - I have the DCX set to BUT24 45Hz on the left hand side of the page, with But24 100Hz on the right. Should t...

Re: How to set up a DCX 2496.

Well it's 00:36 here in the uk. Just finished the bulk of cab two T39 lab12 just got the mouth braces to do on both. Yay. I've been playing. Think I've managed to setup the DCX to have ch1&2 as left and right and 3&4 as sub outputs. The only thing that concerns me is I can't seem to lower th...

Re: BassheadUK Build Thread - Rackmount & 2x Lab12 T39's

I bought my Neutrik feed through at a good price. I've also got the powercon as the IEC really isn't up to the job. Cutting the holes was easy. £40.00 silverline drill press and a £2.50 bit off eBay. Cut out all these holes and still isn't marked at all. Low tack masking tape over a panel. Measure c...
