Re: 2x 19" T30's
They are coming along great Charles. If your gasket tape is not too thick then yes definitely you can run a continuous piece and overlap it, preferably by a screw hole, it will give it a little extra force to squish it. Love the idea of cross tunnels, led lights wired into the subs power source is w...

I find also if you have sacrificial ply you clamp it behind where your proposed hole is thus eliminating tear out, oh and a good sharp bit. Works great for me with my inferior ply.

Re: How to check amp voltage
Great responses. Squid you know you are going to play a tone of some sort to give the amp some thing to amplify right? If you dont have a tone generator, download a free tone generator from the web set it at say 50hz sine wave, connect headphone pc out to mixer, mixer to amp and amp to meter (as pre...

Re: Mini SLA's
If I wanted to fire a THTLP down could it be done? How much space between the mouth and floor would be required? Has this been done before?
I should really check the plans before-
You may put the THTLP upright aimed at the ceiling, or on 16 to 24 inch legs aimed at the floor.

Re: Thoughts about setting limiters
What ive gathered is that 1, We use a sine wave to set voltage limits 2, We dont connect the speakers during limit setting Result 1, Music is far from a pure sine wave- extra protection 2, You can hook up a dummy load but if you dont - more protection I was concerned about the dummy load as well and...

I read through an entire thread on I believe was the 1 sheet challenge, or JBells, sub cant remember. However 1 cabinet was rounded at the baffle joints and the original was not and guess what no improvement with the smooth transition curves vs the angled baffles. I also read that you get a db incre...
