Easy way to clamp at 90°
I saw this in a woodworking magazine, and immediately thought of using this in my next speaker build. Simpson Strong-Tie concrete form angles are very precise, cheap, and easy to clamp. I'll just put a picture here, and you can imagine the many uses: http://www.homedepot.com/catalog/productImages/40...

Re: I wish I had the opertunity to silence the critics!
I'm not sure if I'm ready to declare my BFM system the best sounding PA ever, but in the same price and portability range, nothing I've heard comes close in clarity. I need some more boxes so I can add SPL to that. A factor may be that the average BFM user knows a little bit about how to place and r...

Tennis balls cut in half work well to isolate turntables. You could also do rubber gym/landscaping tiles for the floor of that booth.

I have this strange impulse to plan a road trip to Boston in August... You need a guest DJ for a random Saturday night?

Re: How do you market high efficiency PA's such as BFM?
I tell people the maximum bridge wattage of my amps, which happens to be 3000W. I only use 450W in 8 ohm 2 channel mode, but they don't need to know any of that.

Does anyone have pictures or a description of how they mounted grills on their BFM subs?

Re: Crest prolite 3.0 still delayed
When I talked to them she mentioned problems because they're coming from China. Previously, Crest products were US made. I'm guessing after Peavy bought them, they moved production to China, and they are still trying to work out the issues with that. I was waiting for these forever, finally gave up ...

Re: crest prolite 3.0 dsp?
Call Crest direct and see what's up with release date. Called today and was told the ship date has slipped to the end of April or beginning of May. She also mentioned they're coming from China. I guess we can add Crest amps to the list of things that used to be made in the US. :( I think I'm going ...

Re: Speakon Wiring
I'm going to thread necro for a n00b question. Normally, the 1+ and 1- are for subs, 2+ and 2- are for tops, correct? What's a little confusing is that some amps put out channel 1 into the 1+/- and channel 2 into the 2+/- on the same jack. That's great if I'm bi-amping, but what if I'm only using th...

Help please: Spinning Hurricane nuts
I'm in the final stages of my SLA Pro build, and I have a problem. I'm trying to bolt in the speakers, but it's spinning the hurricane nuts. Will gluing them in work? Maybe a little graphite on the bolts? Also, a few notes on the plans: Why no cut sheet? Shouldn't the plans mention wiring everything...
