Re: Truck Tuba by a Teenager
I feel you on the college kid budget. I've got dual TT in my dorm, which is luckily big enough to fit the beast. But it's made of MDF.... was a pain to get up 4 flights of stairs. But oh so worth it. Luckily I live on my fraternity hall (we don't have greek houses on my campus) so people rarely comp...

Re: SLA and dual table tuba
Didn't have the plans yet, but yea I already switched to the gt302. Going to order everything tomorrow. And I realize two subs are better than one, just not sure if I will have enough room for two. Plus, it would be easier to just do one build. I'll clear that up with my roommate and we'll see.

Are these the aura ns525s? I'm planning on building a pair of SLAs with them, what tweeter did you choose to go with it?

SLA and dual table tuba
Just bought my plans, so it's going to be a few days before I get any good pictures up. In the meantime, heres my plan. A 6 woofer 6 tweeter pair of SLAs with the aura ns525 and possibly the goldwood 2"x5" or the GRS 2"x5" . Any input on tweeter choice would be appreciated, and i...

Re: T18 Build
Well, it weighs somewhere around 50 lbs. And definitely not the greatest craftsmanship ever due to the lack of access to proper equipment. But it works like a charm, and I'm happy 8) one last picture. I think it actually looks pretty dang good in that pic, low quality cell phone camera hides all the...

Re: T18 Build
Nah, not yet. My school requires living on campus, at least until senior year. So I get to come home for summer, at least I get free food
And I'll be finishing it soon, a coat of paint is exactly what it will be haha. Just plain black

Re: T18 Build
Well, I fixed the leaks in the access cover. And was promptly told to turn it down. At least I think thats what the threat to cut the wires meant...
Right now I'm not liking the fact that my dad works at home, and his office is about 10 ft from the garage/man cave

Re: T18 Build
Thanks for the placement tip, I'll get it positioned properly once I put it in my dorm. But for now, my parents don't like me turning it up too much anyways, so positioning doesn't matter a whole lot at the moment.

Re: T18 Build
So when I woke up this morning, I checked the weather and saw there was rain from noon til about 4 or 5. Since I have to do all my cutting in our driveway, my dad definitely won't let me do it in the garage, I decided I would just draw the lines. 1 o'clock rolls around, a bit cloudy, but no rain. I ...

Re: T18 Build
Just curious, anyone know how heavy a T18 would be if made of mdf? I only have to move it up 4 flights of stairs twice a year.. wouldn't be too bad
