Re: Shocking - No Seriously Shocking
Went over to a friends old bar to help him hook up a sound system. I got shocked by the board when unplugging a trs out that goes to an amp on stage. The exposed portion (sleve) as well as the screws on the face of the board are what appear to be "hot". Everything is hooked up properly an...

Sounds much more hifi than my single j12. Way too many mids in mine to the point of shut it off.

Re: We were all newbies once....
Good reminder. I've been using forums for over a decade now, so i'm very familiar with forum etiquette. I have to remind myself that some people (older mostly) are only now getting into it. Hey I resemble that (older mostly) Been using forums for almost 3 decades before that was fidonet/usene...

Re: D-Fend
I got a response from Eminence..... the units are in FCC testing right now.... possibly mid October 2012. Used with permission from the author. Jerry, Yes, it will be available in the US. The unit is off at FCC testing right now. As soon as we get the official "all clear" from them, we wil...

Re: Jack 12 Pictures
Thanks Michael, I am using the 3012HO..... so.... 4 of the 8 are gonna be wood screws. I did order enough screws to do this so no harm just a little "dumb me" that I didn't see my error sooner. If it isn't in the plans and I missed it, it might be worth adding in an update to the plans to ...

Re: Cordless Drill
Thats just funny! That would work! Really they are the master key but not for wheel clamps, we have 175 remote network sites, 4 of them have solor only and we go there once a year in the fall. People cut our locks out or bypass all the time...... The occasional flat or even 2 at a time on the truck ...

Re: Cordless Drill
+10000 on the Dewalts. I have a local store that sells the bare tool no battery not even a box for around $60 each. I have 5 batteries and almost every tool that Dewalt makes in the 18v line that is cordless. Wouldn't leave home without the 1/4 impact and the angle grinder.

Re: Jack 12 Pictures
Maybe if i get it right the first time, this time. It would be helpful if I really knew what I was doing... I have built a half dozen very complex RC model airplanes 80+" with hundreds of custom cut parts however, a razor saw, superglue and pin down blueprints with a complete list of wo...

Re: Jack 12 Pictures
Another question. What do you use for the back panel attachment? Wood screws or hurricane nuts? Would E-Z Lok in 1/4 x 20 be OK? http://www.amazon.com/E-Z-LOK-Threaded-Insert-Thread/dp/B002WC8TUW/ref=pd_sbs_indust_6 More pictures I should have used the smaller head screws filling the holes around th...

Re: Jack 12 Pictures
All the glue stays inside. The outside gets the cosmetics so maybe it won't leak, knock on wood. Shaping the Reflector is killing me! These (building #2 some day soon) will be used for both bass cab and a set of PA cabs. How much if any will sharp edges cause chuff/puff/huff in the Jack 12 for bass?...

. . . A wood worker I am not. . . DeWalt, Jorgensen & Irwin, hmmm, a little sandbagging going on? Looks good, and clean. Aaron The pipe clamps are my father in laws, the Irwins are his as well, finish carpenter/cabinet maker. The Dewalts I use every day in my job which has nothing to do with wo...

Re: Jack 12 Pictures
Started this build Monday 8/6 from a flat pack, today I put the sides on. Not much for patience but all in all I am pretty happy with it so far..... I have some cleanup to do, filling and shape the throat, add the driver spacer etc. Had quite a twist in it about 3mm maybe 4mm but it pulled out with ...
