Re: Power questions
Don't forget to hook up a few par cans(bulb not led) to the genny aswell. To give it a bit of a stable constant load to compensafe for the big variations in power draw of the amps. But i would really advise you to rent one from your local AV company until you can afford a decent one. Seen to much ge...

Re: Deton Core series Amps
I don't know about their switchmode amps, but their conventional super heavyweights are great value for money.
http://www.deton.com/html/amp_Aone.htm will do 4 ohm bridge all day long but need a good limiter to keep them in line.

Re: Links to everything you need for your BFD-build, in Euro
I found a killer deal on the Behringer DCX that i thought i'd share. Now new only €150 !! Didn't trust it at first, but eventually ordered it after checking that it was a legit shop that was selling it. I received it today and indeed its a brand new and working unit. Seems to be old stock they are c...

Re: Links to everything you need for your BFD-build, in Euro
This driver might be a nice budget driver option for the T39 & Tuba 30 available in Europe: the Box 12/280-A 12/280-A Datasheet The TSP are quite close to the Delta 12LF but this one has a real x-max (Hc-Hg /2) of 5,5mm and if you calculate x-max the way most manifactures do (Hc-Hg /2 + Hg/4) it...

Bob, how wide is your stack of subs?
You might need to do some extra delaying as the outermost cabs are quite far apart. Here is a paper that Rog Mogale did on arraying bass cabs A practical guide to bass arrays. might be of interrest to you.

Re: Setting reccomendations for DBX PA
Put a DI box with a switchable pad between Djm out and the font of house mixer or lms. That should fix the hot output signal of the mixers.

Re: BFM Boombox?
Tim, If space is limited. Why don't you look into a small reflex for sub? Start with a 12 inch true sub driver like the BMS 12s330 and start do some sims in winisd. Should do solid 40, flat to 45 in a 35-45l box. I was thinking about something like that with a 3012lf, and if either driver is suitab...

Re: New member: Mark Anderson from South Africa
To run the T39/Dr250 combo you are going to need a loudspeaker management system for crossover, limiting, and possible PEQ. I also use an aditional graphic eq to adjust for room modes. I feel i have to clarify my answer a bit. Crossovers, eq's, etc. are not only for these cabs, this applies for any...

Re: New member: Mark Anderson from South Africa
Dankie Bas Thats fantastic. I was really keen to hear from someone who has used the Fane Sovereigns. When you say" it takes a lot of EQ". Can that be done on a standard mixer using High, Mid, Low or is it a more complex procedure? Reason I ask, is skill. Can a non trained operator attempt...

Re: New member: Mark Anderson from South Africa
Hey Mark, welcome to the forum. I have used Fane Sovereign series drivers in a number of cabs, they offer quite a lot of bang for the buck. Loving the 10-300, hard to beat for the money. My T39's are loaded with the 12-500lf which is pretty close to the Eminence Delta 12lf. Although the Titans need ...

Re: European Closeout Drivers
Pollin.de They have some very nice close out drivers every once in a while. The webshop generally only ships to Germany and Austria, but if you contact them they will ship international.
