Re: DRPA for mains and mons?
The only way to utilize the features of the drpa is to get one for mains, and one for mons. Since I currently have a dbx231, I could/should run the drpa for the mains, and eq for the mons, and carry two amps. And call it a day That would be the easiest route I should've mentioned, Jack112 for mains...

Re: Crown XLS/Peavey IPR users
The Driverack is what I would rather have, I'm just looking at all of my options.

Crown XLS/Peavey IPR users
Is there anyone here using the built-in DSP on the Crown XLS or Peavey IPR amps for BFM subs? If so, how do you apply both a LPF and a HPF to the sub at the same time?

Just a couple of behringer facts for people that just run for cover when someone pronounce the name CoolAudio acquisition In May 2000, Behringer acquired the rights to the entire CoolAudio technology from Intersil Corporation, a US-based semi-conductor manufacturer. CoolAudio is a high-power Class-...

Re: Just need a crossover
Yeah thanks for the heads up. And actually since we run L/C/R I may want to use the 35XO, assuming I can set the mid and high crossovers to the same frequency.
EDIT: Just checked, I can!

Re: Just need a crossover
I don't have to use the low sum output. Could use 1 of each high output for the tops and the two low outputs for the sub.

Just need a crossover
I want to get a real 24dB per octave filter crossover for the PA at my church so we have more flexibility with our setup. My question is, are these units any good: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/PV23XO/ Do you think that's good enough? I'm using powered speakers with built-in DSP, so while a...

Whoa! I just saw the other posts. Since this thread is really drifting I'll post my .02cents: If you have to use electronic drums then you're not really a drummer. Unless it's the electronic sound you're striving for. Cram a band in a ten x ten foot room and a musical drummer that utilizes dynamics...

Re: Attention StudioLive and Soundcraft SiCompact users...
Drummers should be able to control things on an acoustic kit. E-drums are not acceptable...they don't play the same. You say you play with a modeler instead of an amp. But you're still playing a guitar that feels the same. Most e-drum kits would be the equivalent to using a Guitar Hero guitar inste...

Rick Lee: I even got to suggest a budget and they're letting me get a keyboard and drumset! While I like the sound of miced drums outside and in larger settings....E-drums are the only way to go in a church, unless you are in a mega-church with a large stage and a thousand people. Controlling volum...

Ah okay, it would have made a little more sense if you had quoted that in your post, as I thought you were addressing the OP.mattaudio wrote:Rick Lee: I even got to suggest a budget and they're letting me get a keyboard and drumset!

I think the SL power supply issues were long since fixed. I'm curious to hear your ideas for a drumset. We can get you hooked up with a great drumset less than your budget. I know a lot of people here are fans of e-kits but as a drummer I just can't do it! It also depends on the style of your churc...

Re: SAC users, what control surfaces are you using?
It's funny, the other night I really paid attention to just how often I moved a fader and now I think I really exaggerated in my earlier post here. On a typical night, the only time I adjust a fader during the actual worship service is for solos, song changes (e.g. moving from a fast paced guitar-dr...

Re: Attention StudioLive and Soundcraft SiCompact users...
I didn't notice before, but the Roland M-300 mixer is around the same price range as an Si Compact. The M-300 would support remote control with a laptop from the stage. There's a guide for how to set that up here . I have a lot of experience with its "big brother", the M-400, and I have to...

Re: Attention StudioLive and Soundcraft SiCompact users...
My only (and I do mean only ) reservation about jumping on an SL is how many times I've heard of them failing. I believe in most cases it was an issue with the power supply? To be honest I haven't researched the issue much myself, but I've seen enough accounts of it happening to make me hesitant. Fe...
