Re: Peavey IPR 1600 DSP
OK cool. That begs the question, the DR200 and OT12 are 8 ohm right? I dont have my plans for those yet, so i dont know and the posts I've read thus far haven't expressed this. As well as, what are their voltage limits?

Re: Hi from another South African.
Welcome man. I'm not very new here, been here for a while and i've learnt so much its not funny, and still have loads to learn. Hoping to own some BFM cabs soon, and have that grin on my face when someone comes to you and asks, "what size speakers in those?" and you turn to them and say &q...

So, crest amps are basically beefed up Peavey amps? Pardon my ignorance.

Re: Peavey IPR 1600 DSP
Ok. I've always loved that QSC amp, except its weight, never failed me yet. Although, one night it did shutdown for a bit, got to hot I guess. When I get to the point where I'll be using Otops or DRs, I'd like to get one of these IPRs. Its lighter than the other QSC lightweights and looks a little e...

Re: Peavey IPR 1600 DSP
Reason for my concern is that I plan on running 4 T39s, preferably LAB12 loaded, and i was told my boat anchor QSC RMX2450 might have a little difficulty giving these subs all they require. Plus, I'd love to get rid of the heavy weight champ and go for a feather weight that can get the job done. But...

Re: Peavey IPR 1600 DSP
This sounds great. My question is, how well do these amps work if the supply voltage drops below 110v/220v?

Re: so about these new 10lb amps...
I'm in Jamaica and I've seen large sound systems playing and their power conditioners with voltage readouts drop to 95-100volts, primarily when the bass hits. Normally, they'd be getting 120-125volts. Even though I wouldn't be drawing as much current as them, cause they are using 8+ 18" cabs. I...

Sweet. Just another reason for me to stick with my decision to go with T39s. Great work Grant.

Re: OT12 and T48 combination
Those looks good. Thing is the power I have in jamaica, or have most access to is single phase 220 and 110. I'm gonna look around if I find any of those.
Thanks man, awesome rig.

Re: OT12 and T48 combination
Awesome setup. Wonder how good this would sound playing recorded music, like a DJ setup, playing hip hop, reggae, etc?
My question to you though, what's that device controlling the electricity on top of the amp rack? Looks interesting.

Re: For the ones who uses tops with a sub ,driverack PX
Alright cool. I don't have a problem with a 2 way system. Funny is, I'm coming from a 3 way with speakers and amps to play all 3 sections. Ditched that for some powered speakers for tops and ported 18s. Now I've stumbled across this and I wanna try BFM cabs. What's really got me flipping is being ab...

Re: For the ones who uses tops with a sub ,driverack PX
Exactly my point. Question though, how would one go about running a 3 or 4 way system with BFM cabs? At that point, it would be better to have the PA+ at that point.

Re: For the ones who uses tops with a sub ,driverack PX
I am in no way ready to step up to the 260. When it gets closer to that time I'll make a decision. I don't really have a problem with Berry equipment. A friend of mine sees them as utter rubbish. He's a professional dj in canada. Keeps telling me to keep away.

Re: For the ones who uses tops with a sub ,driverack PX
Now I'm caught between deciding which to use. I coming from a 3 way active system and i wanna build my system up with just BFM cabs, 2xOTOP12 and 4XT39s In this case it would be easier to go with the PX instead of the PA. Thing is, i dont wanna limit myself in the sense that the PA maybe needed late...
