anyone else starting from lvl 0 woodworking?

I have never touched a powered saw in my life and will have to go out and buy everything. I'm hoping I can get a decent tool set up for around $500. Anyone else start their build at this point? Do you have any tips to share on basic tool purchasing and learning how to use them properly?

Re: DJ from CA

Well I figure the dr250 kits were cheaper so buying a cab would somewhat equal out. Also I'll have my hands full building the t39s!

Re: how much power needed for setup?

Thanks alot for the welcome. You guys are very helpful around here compared to other forums. Most of my questions have been answered in other threads so I never had a reason to sign up till now. I just got the plans recently but I'll have to read over them about this part more carefully. My plans fo...

I'm planning on running 2 dr250 and 2 t39s. how much power will i need total? any decently cheap amps for recommendation? i'm not a fan of behringer products unless somehow their amps are totally diff than everything else they make.
